I have a 15 month old in the infant room and a 4 year old in the primary class at Monarch. I am thrilled with the school. My 4 year old was in daycare and we decided to move her just based on convenience of the school. I was a little apprehensive about the Montessori method since it seemed so different from what she was used to. She is thriving at Monarch. We used to battle about going to school and now she can’t wait to go. She loves her teachers and her classmates. I only send her 4 days per week but she would love to be there 5. She loved it so much we decided to enroll my younger child in the infant program and he is learning and growing daily. I trust the staff and his care there as much as I would trust family. I know they love my children. They also offer enrichment classes and discussion groups so parents can learn more about childhood development from the teachers. It’s great. Hands down, it’s the best in the area.

Toddler Mom Dec 18, 2012

My daughter started attending Monarch Montessori shortly after it opened in June 2011. She has been in the Toddler room since and I cannot say enough amazing things about her class or the school. To start her main teacher is everything I feel a teacher should be. She is super intelligent, caring, compassionate and most of all, passionate about her students and her work. I have come to know her and all of the assistant teachers very well over the past year and a half and I cannot imagine my daughter attending school anywhere else.

Come January she will be moving up to the Primary Class and I cannot wait! I have observed the class and met with the teachers and I am very excited about the next chapter of her time here. I encourage any prospective parent to tour the school and most importantly meet with the teacher and speak to actual parents if possible. I imagine all current parents feel the way I do!

I recommned this school to all of my family and friends and feel fortunate that it opened up near our home and that we are able to send our daughter there!

-Happy Mom

My son is in the toddler room at Monarch and I cannot say enough about the quality of the staff and the education he is getting there. He has been enrolled for almost a year now and his progress is tremendous. I feel secure leaving him in their care and he loves going to school every day. There have been some staffing changes since he started there but the school is progressing ahead and other parents in his class also seem happy.

My husband and I are very excited for our son to start in the primary class in a few months. I've met the teachers, observed the class and met with the other parents who have children in that class (all I've spoken with are very pleased). I can't speak about the infant room because my son was too old when we enrolled him. However, overall my experiences have all been extremely positive and I wouldn't have my son anywhere else.

surprised parents Aug 06, 2012

I had a tour for my children, lady that showed us the building was very sweet and kind! Answerd all our question as much as she seemed to have the knowledge; building upstairs had one classroom, with furniture, shelves were not all filled, wonder why, bookshelves were empty- reasons given seemed off and fishy,....no teacher for the primary classroom - teacher or students for that classroom !!??? It is August....

Other classrooms empty, explainations given-also questionable! Everything though very clean and neat!I've read the article in the newspaper about the school and it said the school is in full run!!!!

Infant and Toddler room were the rooms that had children, and the toddlers look like they knew how to keep the teachers busy. Felt like they needed an addittional person in there!!!!

The desk at the entrance was empty, almost as nobody has been working there for a while.

Where did all the students go from the year before? The Teacher, was only there one year, she left after one year?

The new director I briefly got to meet, did not appeared to be the warm and welcoming people person, that I would expect to approach as a parent, when is planning to leave my children in her care or a the care of any  teacher that she would hire; also her response was not so comforting in regargs to the hiring process "we are working on it" was not enough for me.

WHERE did the director go I heard was so welcoming, caring and reassuring and about the children, parents, and teachers?

I guess I was at the wrong school! I can not leave my children at this school!

I can not judge any teachers, since I have not any meet. However the DIRECTOR did not impress me at all.She did lack people skills -  with me at this very short interaction - we had and that speaks for itself!!!!

The woman that showed me the school was doing her best to sell me the spots for my childeren, however I think it is the directors job to show parents around and answer questions, get to know each other and see where the director stands with her approach in Montessori!

Unfortunately the is even less than 1 star!

GOOD  LUCK  TO  THIS  SCHOOL!!!
