Description: As a child care provider, I have the strength of conviction that a child is to be treated as an individual with love, compassion and purpose. Each day I am presented with an opportunity to focus on social, intellectual, physical and emotional development in the children. I gather ideas for teaching and inspiring from the environment around us. I never push a child to behave in a manner that is against their nature. I believe that children learn and develop at their own speed. Hugs are freely given. Laughter is nurtured. Perfection has no place in my child care setting. Respect for themselves and others is encouraged, as well as being responsible for their actions. Above all, acceptance is the foundation from which I guide the children to be who and what they are at any given minute.
