Findings: A complaint was made regarding incidents of abrasive treatment of the infants. The complainant specifically noted the lack of head support being given to the infants. There were incidents showing the staff not using appropriate methods to move infants as well as not appropriately supporting the head and neck of the infants while holding and moving them. LS discussed the incidents as well as appropriate supervision and care as it related to the individual needs, ages, and capabilities of each child in care. LS has recommended the infant staff complete additional training as it relates to the care of infants. The facility agreed to provide proof of completion of the training to the OCC within 30 days as well as a written statement as to how they have instructed staff on appropriate handling of the children in care, specifically the infants, as well as what actions they have taken to address the issue and what actions they will take in the future if they were to observe a similar issue.
