Description: Hoboken Montessori School is a nonsectarian private school serving preschool and kindergarten children. Children will develop their talents and skills in a stimulating, secure, and beautiful child-centered classroom. The aim of the Montessori approach is to cultivate the child's natural curiosity, while enabling the child to take joy in learning. Our certified Montessori teachers are educated and trained in the Montessori teaching philosophy, in the Montessori curriculum, and in the use of Montessori material. The sponsor or sponsor representative, and each staff member shall complete a signed consent form provided by the Department that indicates the identifying information necessary to conduct a CARI background check, including the person’s name, address, date of birth, sex, race, and Social Security number. As a condition of securing a license or Certificate of Life/Safety Approval, the sponsor or sponsor representative shall ensure that a Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) fingerprint background check is completed for himself or herself, and for all staff members at least 18 years of age who are or will be working at the center on a regularly- scheduled basis, to determine whether any such person has been convicted of a crime, as specified in P.L. 2000, c. 77 (N.J.S.A. 30:5B-6.10 to 6.17). The sponsor or sponsor representative and each staff member shall complete the electronic fingerprinting process through the vendor authorized by the State to conduct CHRI background checks through the Division of State Police in the Department of Law and Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. If I could give this school 10 stars I would. From the director and administration to the incredible faculty and staff I can sincerely say there isn't any other school I would choose for my kids. My children are two and four and both attend in a full time capacity. They can't wait to get to school and they never want to leave. Like many young families living in Hoboken we felt pressed to move the suburbs before our son enters kindergarten. After finding this school, and all that it offers, we can feel confident staying in the town we all love. The school has become an extension of our family and for that we are truly grateful.
