Unprofessional staff, admin and owner. Lacks communication, treated poorly. Overall not a great place to work at.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I have worked in a couple child care centers in the area, while I finished my degree in early Childhood education. I was very pleased with both Bundles of Joy campuses (Berlin and Salisbury). The teachers are MSDE Credentialed and many are taking classes to further their education in child education. They are also very caring. The buildings are not new, but the rooms are clutter free and cleaned daily. After having a child of my own, I had no problem in deciding where to send him. We have been at Bundles for over a year and my family and three year old love it there! When we have more children, they will also attend Bundles and I would recommend them to anyone!

I have toured this provider's facility, but have not used its services

We decided not to let our children attend after seeing how unprofessional and disrespectful the owner was. I was truly appalled and would never recommend this facility to anyone. Ever.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I found it difficult to pick a star rating here. Many random difficulties filled our time here and has led to unease and overall distrust. Certain teachers we had very good experiences with. However, it is difficult to feel comfortable with the teachers and aides who move classrooms so much and can not give feedback on the child's day at pickup. Other teachers can speak pretty rudely to children and do not properly handle discipline. I have seen some children be discharged because staff can not handle their behavior, instead of trying to work with the family and child to help. There is a significant lack of communication between teachers and management/owner. Many employees have voiced concern over the same communication barrier. I've picked up my child on at least two occasions to find them with a black eye and no explanation given. When I asked to see video of the day, requests were pushed off and ignored. We have been overcharged hundreds of dollars which was not refunded when brought to their attention. The children receive much more screen time than they should. I do not pay so much for child care for them to watch YouTube so much. Especially for the under 2 classrooms as screen time is not recommended for those under 2 by the AAP. My child has a food intolerance but was constantly being given the offending food. Even after talking to the owner, kitchen staff, and teachers, I have picked my child up to find out they were given food that they shouldn't have and have even picked my child up to see the offending food on their plate and in their mouth. When packing additional snacks or meals for my child to replace the items they could not have on the menu - the food was not given to my child. Safety is a concern for me here. Field trips are not staffed very well and car seats are not used properly. No action was taken when concerns were taken to the owner. I have entered the kitchen first thing in the morning to find dirty dishes, dirty pans strewn about, and knives on the counter - easily reachable by children. Bleach bottles are constantly left in reach of the children; my child has a few articles of bleached clothing thanks to this. Dirty mop water is often left in the hallway and reused in another room instead of being replaced. They have a chicken coop which can be a great learning experience for the children; however, they are constantly wondering the playground and I have to wonder about sanitary conditions. My child ended up with a fungal infection on their feet and we suspect it was picked up from the playground because of this.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I havent had an issye with my teacher yet but I also believe I have been charged incorrectly and it seems that whenever I ask about it that the woman who handles the billing is never available. I was also charged for a full week when they were closed for thanksgiving and my child went to the facility for one day. I'm not sure if that is standard but I'm pretty sure if you are CLOSED then you can't charge people for your services...

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

We had our 3 year old child attended this facility in Berlin for 6 days and we were charged $620. The teachers were concerned about her temper tantrums which is also new to us. But they were completely unwilling to let her adjust to the facility. I came to pick her up one day to see a teacher holding her in a bear hug as she tried to wiggle out. This was inappropriate but I thought they knew better. They dont. Another day they told me they isolated her alone In a room with a teacher to calm her. That is just scary for anyone! The director kept calling us to come get her citing they don't have enough staff to deal with her. We agreed to voluntarily withdraw her due to their inability to handle temper tantrums. The guidebook contract clearly states that they can keep your $290 deposit if the child is discharged by them. In our case we removed her. Wrote a polite letter thanking them and they robbed us. Now I have a deposit and fees for a new daycare who agrees that what they did to our child and us is wrong. I'm glad we left I just hope this review prevents others from being robbed as well.
