I have used this provider for less than 6 months
I have a lot to say about this school. My son who turned 5 in October started school in the last week of October. School was out for a week in November and was out for 2 weeks in December. Overall, I will say he has been attending this school for 2 months. Every preschool he has been to has sung his praises on how smart he is and also how sweet he is. He started at Kindercare and went to Infinity Success Academy. They have cameras in each of the classrooms that parents can check in during the day.
During the first week of November, 2021, I checked in on my son and realized he was wandering around in the classroom. That afternoon when I picked him up, I asked his teacher (Ms. Stephanie) about him and she mentioned that sometimes when the kids are new, they like to acclimate to their new environment so she likes to give them time. We then scheduled a PTC and she mentioned that my son is lacking a little bit in the social-emotional aspect but is in the top 3% of his class. She recommended bringing it up with the doctor. The doctor then referred us to get a developmental test which we informed the school about. He is currently on a waitlist.
About 2 weeks ago, I received an email from the new owner of the school regarding a meeting to discuss my son's "behaviors." She mentioned it was getting out of hand. The "behaviors" include walking around the class, not giving people personal space and making sounds during class. We have been working with him at home for the past two weeks and the report from his teacher is "he is doing better." An email today from the new director Dominique, gave us an ultimatum. "Get an evaluation done or he will be disenrolled." Again, he has been at the school for 2 months, he is 5 years old. I would think the school will be willing to work with us but no. She was rude on the phone as well. Another fact, I am A BLACK MOTHER living in Utah. The other black student in my son's school is no longer there. If this is not a racially targeted act, I don't know what this is. Even if my son is on the autistic spectrum, I would assume that the disability act will protect him. Yes, I am a very FRUSTRATED, BLACK MOTHER who feels targeted. Do not send your child to this school! Tuition has been increased and this was not an issue till the new owners took over.
