employees smelled of smoke not at all a friendly place really uncomfortable felling
I have been taking me my children to this center for three years. I love the director. She is very loving and kind. She will break her back to make sure that my children are well cared for and loved. I had to go back to work when my smallest was 6 weeks and although I was fearful to leave her, I knew she would be in good hands. Each of the teachers are there because they genuinely love the children, which is probably my favorite part of the center. My four year old comes home and teaches me the things that she learned at "school" that day. I would recommend this daycare to anyone.
This is the worst daycare ever, I had my daughter in there for a few months. When I would bring her in there in the mornings, the staff would be outside smoking ( the assistant director ). It was disgusting, she would come inside and not wash her hands and hold the babies. I took wipes in there like we are suppose to do and the worker only used 1 pack of wipes in 2 months. There is hardly no windows for the little ones to look outside and see, it is dark in there and when you pick your child up and you come in the front door whoever is at the front will yell down the hall..that is not called for at all. They are rude in the mornings, the young teachers are so sleepy when you see them in the mornings, they have blankets wrapped around them. That place is so nasty and so ghetto, it needs to be shut down ASAP.
I have work here for 3 years. I disagree with the other reviews not only because i work there but because i see everything first hand. I do recall the incident with the assisant director yelling with the child in her arms. When the owner found out she was promptly let go, and we did call the state to let them know the reason. As for the incident reports not being filled out or a parent not being told something ask the teacher of that room what happened. we have parents who will come in and ask another teacher. we do not know what happens in other rooms because we are focused on ours. If the teacher cant give an excuse let the director know right away and it will be handled. we cant fix a problem if we dont know that there is one. in this line of work comunication is key between parents and teachers. If you have a problem or question about something always ask. dont assume we dont care about these children. if we didnt we wouldnt be working with them. we dont get paid enough to work if we didnt enjoy taking of and teaching these children to the best of our ability. were not 3 stars for anything. we work our fingers to the bone to make sure everyone is satisfied and taken care of. i have seen how other daycares work. they are strict tight wads. we like to have fun with the kids. we want them to LOVE learning and leave with a smile. Im sorry you guys didnt feel that way when you brought youre children/grandchildren. but i assure all those issues have been resolved and parents still think were the best in town despite youre reviews...
While stopping by to check out the center to see if it would be somewhere to send my granddaughter I witnessed an outrageous act by the assistant director. She was threatening another employeeShe told the employee she would "bust her in her mouth" while she was holding a child. I find this totally unacceptable for a childcare center. These people paid to provide care and love for our children while we are away from them, not to scare and mentally damage our children. I will continue to search for an appropriate center.
Terrible daycare. Unfriendly staff. When accidents happen (ex. Falls with the result of bumps and or bruises) are not reported or documented. Failure to discuss issues like this with parents is very unprofessional and shouldn't be tolerated. Would not recommend this daycare for any child of any age.
