One child who was identified as having a milk intolerance and who was allergic to bee stings did not have a medical action plan attached to their application or on file today. All children who have a chronic medical condition must have a medical action plan completed and attached to their application. Please obtain the applicable Medical Action Plan from the child’s parent and attach a copy to the child’s application and retain it on file at the facility for future review. The child’s application stated an Epi-Pen would be provided in case of an emergency, but you said they have not brought one to be kept at the program. | |||

All corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, any product which is under pressure in an aerosol dispenser, and any substance which may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled were not stored in a locked room or cabinet. In the restroom down the hall used by the children in care, I observed an aerosol can of Betco Deodorizer, Betco Disinfectant Spray, and Renown Stainless Steel Cleaner. The aerosol cans were on a shelf less than five feet from the floor and on top of an unlocked cabinet. In the unlocked cabinet there was also a tube of Equate Toothpaste. In the classroom in an unlocked drawer less than five feet from the floor I observed a bag of bulk hand soap, and in an unlocked cabinet I observed a bulk bottle of Softsoap hand soap. The bulk soaps, toothpaste, and aerosol cans were placed in locked storage during my visit. | |||
