My name is Dayna and I have been teaching children for 27 years. I am also a mother of two. My teaching career began in 1984 when I started college. While attending college, I worked in a licensed center. I received a Certificate in Early Childhood Education in 1986. Along with my Certificate in Early Childhood Education, I also received my Certificate in Supervision and Administration. I have attended classes and have received my First Aid and CPR certifications. I have also been through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Child Care Licensing and Registration Program. Upon finishing my training I received my "Certificate of Approval" to be a "Center Program Director" here in Kansas. I also belong to the Douglas County Child Development Food Program and will provide your little one with very nutritous meals. I provide all needed baby food as well as formula (at your discretion).

I owned a home daycare here in Lawrence for 11.5 years. When my son started Jr. High I decided to close and go back to teaching in a center. I have been an infant care teacher for the last three years, but found my true calling to reopen at home. My little daycare area is set up just like a infant room at a center. Here your little one will have security and safety.

Your little one will be in an environment that is safe, secure, warm, and very loving. Your little one will be with two other babies/toddlers. A very small group so each baby/toddler has one on one time. I will be teaching daily activities through the use of different themes. Children learn through socailizing and play. We will be doing arts and crafts, science, social development, reading, singing, dancing, and learning through various other activities.
