I am an employee
Through my entire time of employment and working at different schools, I have learned so much. I have also befriended some of the hardest working women teachers and staff that I've ever met. Everyday I've witnessed their dedication, and perseverance to skillfully balance a classroom of young students. I've also seen these children positivity respond to the teachers curriculums. So not only is this center great for learning, it's also a good place for children to develop their social skills.
It's is hard work every shift, but at the end of the day I feel good that my efforts are supporting the next generation. I would definitely suggest to any parents who are curious about enrollment info, or have any questions to call or stop on in.
I wish I could give them 0 stars. My son has been going to Tinker Town for about 2 years now and I am very disappointed. My son has been left at school on more than 4 different occassions and each time they try and put it on my child. I can't get in contact with the owner and the director Jacqueline is an unstable individual who justifies her wrong doings. I really need to get in contact with the owner so I can voice all of the concerns I have.
FOR THE SAFETY AND CARE OF YOUR KIDS DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
On a recent incident they had 'special guest' come to the school and the kids were crowding around the guest, and others were taken outside, so when I when to pick my child early there where at least 25+ kids to one teacher and she seemed to be focused on only one child while the others were throwing the chips of wood over the fence and at each other. This is not the first time I have seen the older kids room over crowed. Once I saw this older, my guess about 8, girl push a my guess about 5 year old boy down and he hit his head and no staff member came to help even after his loud screams. Some teachers were great, however most of them seem like they don't give a crap. The good ones seemed over worked and the other seem nice and relaxed just hanging out on the counter. Unfortunaly one of the good ones ms. gail, she is a really nice one, seems so over worked and stressed out and her assistant who is just standing there she might as well be picking her nose! At least then she would be productive! Also ms. toya seems to have too many kids for just one teacher. When I finally pulled my kids out he was asking for her for weeks! I have seen lots of turnover in the year and change I used them. Some good teachers were ‘let go’, or hopefully found a better place to work. I’m sure they are getting minimum wage, which explains the low quality of a good portion of the teachers. So it is basically the lack of training, staff, and organization. All in all this school seems to be a cluster of chaos. The only why I can see it being fix is to replace the owner!
I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old that have been going to Tinker Town for 9 months now and they have learned so much. This place is incredible for kids of all ages! My son who is 4 was not able to communicate well with anyone. He had the hardest time pronouncing words when we first started going here and NOW EVERYONE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT HES SAYING. . .NOT JUST ME!!! They have also been so aswsome at helping me with potty training my baby girl (who just turned two last month) A BIG thank you to Mrs. Gale, Miss. M.J., Ms. D, Ms. Maryann and ALL the teachers are GREAT and HELPFUL!!!
