Description: The Way Church of Denham Springs is happy to serve the surrounding community by offering this wonderful program for children and parents alike. Parent's Day Out is a weekday program with the primary objective of providing parents with Christian child-care and an age appropriate curriculum for children aged 9 months - 5 years. Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. For years, Parent’s Day Out programs (typically known as Mother’s Day Out) have been a staple alternative in our community to full time daycares. They have shown to be a blessing for both parents and children alike. With the waiting lists growing at many other programs due to their uniqueness, we certainly understand the need in and around the community. We are so excited at the opportunity to help fill this need and can’t wait to get to know you and yours. Goals & Objectives The goals of Parent's Day Out are: • To provide a safe, loving environment for children • To teach children about God and His Son, Jesus Christ • To offer stimulating opportunities for creative play • To develop social skills through adult and peer interaction Parent's Day Out has wonderful toddler and preschool facilities provided by the church. Each classroom is bright and cheery, inviting children to have fun. Each class follows an age-appropriate Bible curriculum. We believe that very young children can learn the principles of the Gospel when taught at their level. Monthly themes and enrichment activities are also included. Our daily program includes: Bible stories and related crafts, playtime, quiet table activities, lunch, and rest time. The children will also have the opportunity to participate in monthly worship in the sanctuary during class time. All of the teachers on staff are CPR trained and certified and attend annual Educational Training workshops. They are fully equipped and ready to guide your child through their early years during their time with us at Parent’s Day Out at The Way Church!
