Sunrise Parochial Pre K Academy is a privately operated parochial (religiously operated) pre-k program. We are state registered and approved. Sunrise Parochial Pre-K Academy serves the Kansas City metropolitan area, offering an educationally rich environment with "actual" Small Class Settings (10 - 12 students per class), Assessment Based Lesson Plans (plans taylored to the educational needs of each child - evidenced by his/her enrollment assessment), class related worksheets and study materials, homework practice sheets, weekly assessments over material learned, monthly progress reports to parents and ongoing monitoring of each student's progression toward kindergarten readiness. Both our Director & Staff train continuously in educational strategies and methodology to ensure our students receive the most effective classroom instruction possible as we prepare them for kindergarten readiness. As a participant in the Missouri Food Program "CACFP", our students are afforded three nutritionally balanced meals per day, at no cost to our parents. And, as well, we maintain a well equipped leisure area (indoor and outdoor) where our students can relax and play after their full morning of class interactions, learning and fun. My daughter was kicked out Hassani Barkley put his hands on me and kicked my child out this morning . They like to pick fights with parents. I've tried to report them but nobody is doing anything about it so this is a warning to you parents. Don't send your kids here.
I’ve had a wonderful experience at sunrise they actually teach your children my children will say so their selves.They love attending school at this facility. I have recommended this facility to other parents and will continue to!!!!

The kids don't learn anything!! The director has a horrible attitude & the staff is ghetto! They talk bad about kids & their parents! They don't have any play ground equipment !! The kids play IN DIRT ! In a small a** fenced in area if you pay for this kid of care I worry about you !
He is scamming workers and has a paddle in his desk that he has used on challenging kids

Sunrise Parochial Pre-K Academy is a Private Pre-K school operated by a church and directed by a truly dedicated individual. While the facility is smaller than most centers, it exceeds, by far, the norm in educating its Pre-K students. The daily lesson plans are performance driven, not activity driven. The Students have a class schedule just like in formal school settings. Their classes consist of "Reading," Read & Write," "Math," "Computer" and "Arts classes." In addition, their daily program incorporates learning-based & structured activity games to keep students motivated toward positive health. Students are tested weekly/periodically to see how well class lessons are being retained and parents receive monthly report cards on their child's progress throughout the year. The environment of the facility is - in my opinion - just the right size for Pre-K learning, not too big or small. Their classrooms are cozy for 6-8 students per room, which virtually guarantees small class structure, I recommend this Private Program to any parent in Kansas City Missouri seeking a wonderful starting place for the Pre-K education of your child.
