Description: United serves 1,354 children 0-5 and pregnant women through our Head Start and Early Head Start Programs. These programs provide educational opportunities to both parent and child. In harmony with our Mission to prepare each child for a lifetime of learning, both programs meet the needs of the child and family. Through direct service or referral, families are ensured assistance with child development, adult education, child and adult health services, disability services, emergency services, and mental health services. A healthy, happy child is a child ready to learn.
Under the leadership of Johnny Bryant and Kim Rice, our Head Start/Early Head Start Program has grown by 40% in recent years. During that time, emphasis on our Mission Statement helped to ensure that we continue to reach for the stars. Enough is not enough. At United, excellence is the only goal.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

This place is starting to be a joke. They are constantly short handed. The kids are always being sent home for whatever reason they can come up with.
Oh we are short staffed today- ok so put an ad out and build up your sub teachers. Don't give extra days off. Stop taking new kids especially if you can't handle the ones currently there. Make your staff actually work Mon-Fri. Stop being their friend and start being their boss. Stop having the mentality that oh well we're 4 teachers down today so when we get full then we will just tell the parents they can't bring their kids. What kind of place runs like that? You're mentality should be to say hey you know what we need to step up our game. We need to build up our staff or at least cross train the ones that aren't usually in the classes so that yeah if you're down then they can step in. We need to actively put ads in the paper stating we need subs, with a very clear description of the job, that it's an as needed basis and put the amount they will make. But what you're doing now is having this oh well yeah I know we're going to be short handed but I'm not going to actively try and do anything about it. I'll just put the problem of my inability to perform this job and its responsibilities on the parents. We depend on them being there as much as our jobs depend on us to be at work. Seriously, if you can't do the job stop just trying to just skim by and figure it out. If you can't then step down and let someone else do it. NEW MANAGEMENT.
Oh and another thing, stop scheduling building work during the time the kids are there and making everyone move around and making it stressful for the kids, not to mention parents who have to check their phones multiple times just to see if their kid will get sent home. There are plenty of company that come out after 2 during the week and also on weekends to work. Plus if there are a couple days where you have sent out no school notices for later in the month then why aren't you scheduling construction work for those days??? Step it up already and stop trying to put it off on the parents.
They constantly refuse to let our kids come because they say the don't hAve enough teachers that day. I'm talking once or twice a week. We wake our kids up, get them ready just to find out they can't go. This has caused many mishaps in our personal life because we have four young kids. Only two of them go and the other two stay home, one of which has upwards of three to four Dr appointments a week due to him having cerebral palsay autism, 100% hearing loss, and mental retardation. Their actions have cause him to miss many appointments. They say they provide excellence and enough is never enough.....that's been proven a lie one to two times a week. The time we have while our two kids are there determines the health and treatments on our youngest with the majority of disabilities and the sooner start ladies have become infuriated with this because they say that is flat out NOT allowed. So this is not just a review. I'm calling the head boss that funds this facility and reporting it. They get paid yet the refuse to allow us to bring our kids regularly! That's some excellent facility right?? This needs to be fixed, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!! Reporting right now!
