Description: Sandhills Children’s Center is a private, non-profit organization that offers an inclusive child developmental day program for children with and without special developmental needs, ages birth through five, twelve months a year. The Children’s Center provides educational programs, therapeutic and nutritional services, and family support that help children with disabilities that may include, Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other chronic illnesses and developmental delays.
With two campus locations in Southern Pines of Moore County and Rockingham of Richmond County, and an Outreach Program that serves Moore, Richmond, Hoke and Scotland Counties, the Center currently serves over 300 children on a daily basis. Over three-quarters of the children enrolled for developmental disability services come from poverty-level homes. Because of the low economic level of most Center families, Sandhills Children’s Center has always maintained its commitment to build financial support for services through contracts with state and area operated programs and the development of local public and private resources. Absolutely no child has, or will, be denied services due to their family’s economic status.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

Most of the staff are wonderful! But the new director and some of the staff are very discourtious and disrespectful to parents. They will also lie to get out of trouble.
Have been there several times and am impressed with the level of care these ladies give. Not only the care, but the education they are introducing these small children too is such a foundation for when they go to kindergarten. This is a special place.
My grandson has attended Sandhills for alomost three years now. He receives excellent care in a terrific learning environment. The staff are the best most caring I've met in a while. Your child would be lucky to attend!
