Plan: After becoming aware of the incident, administration immediately addressed the situation with the staff member involved. The staff member was talked to privately regarding the incident and was given a documented verbal warning at the time of the incident and verbally readdressed on 4/22/2026. The program's ongoing efforts to prevent similar incidents in the future include hiring more support staff for our classroom teachers to take breaks when feeling overwhelmed and have support inside the classroom as well. Expectations for appropriate conduct and professional behavior were reviewed with all staff members at the staff meeting conducted on 4/23/2026 regarding the incident. The procedures for when a staff member is frustrated or overwhelmed include that specific staff member using their walky-talky to radio administration or support staff when needing help inside the classroom or needing a break from the classroom. Staff members who observe others getting frustrated or overwhelmed in the classroom are directed to let administration know so proper help can be provided. |
