We have had the opportunity to use Precious Ones since Covid and continue to recommend it highly to all our friends and families. They helped us when we really needed the help as our family tried to move forward during the shutdown. Throughout Covid, they were open. Their staff was friendly, always smiling, and positive during that trying time. Our little one didn't miss a lesson and everything was face to face, not on a computer. She is now excelling in school. If you are looking for a great daycare that is locally owned and participates in the community with field trips and has regular guests that live and work for our community talk to our kids, look for Precious Ones Day Care.
I love this Day Care. My Son has excelled and it is from the strict rule of the Teachers and Providers, they are excellent. I would Not go any where else.
I was working at Stays daycare for around a year, she was rude to her employees, constantly making each of us come in when we were sick. Stacy made me expose the young children to pink eye and the flu, even when I was throwing up and in clear discomfort. I even explained to her that a death was about to occur in my family so I needed to leave to say goodbye, she was clearly upset and gave me an hour to say goodbye to my grandmother. Clearly I stayed by my grandmothers side until she passed and exceeded the hour Stacy had given me. The two employees I worked with were great and the kids loved them but my experience was over all negative and I was crying all the time. I have now found a job where the kids are happy and the boss is nice and wonderful! Stacy did have negative things to say about me and my mother when asked about me
I really love their program, full of activities and field trips. This is great to stimulate children's minds. But I don't like the owner Stacy. She spread false medical information. When there was a kid with diarrhea, she told every parent to get their kids have strep throat test. But, the symptom of strep throat do not include diarrhea! This is just one of many examples. I work in hospital and I know more medical information about diseases. I really don't like that she told other parents to do medical test just because other kid in the daycare is sick. AND, my son at age of 1.5 year old, broke his leg under their care. Stacy could not give me any explanation, she told me he was just playing with a small slide. No one knows what happened. I was busy at work and could not find him another place, so I continued to use this place. THEN, when my son was about 2 years old, he was biting at daycare. Stacy told me to get him a psychotherapy because he is too aggressive. For this young age, he could not speak a full sentence, could not fully express himself. I am not sure if he will understand psychotherapy. When I consult his pediatric doctor, who told me this in normal. "Kids bit all the time, age range from 1-3.5 are consider normal". So, I did nothing and hoped that he would outgrow this phrase soon, but Stacy arranged a psychotherapist for my son, and had the therapist call me. I was not sure if this would work, but I did take my son for a few sessions. Of course, it did not work, my son still bite. Finally, I changed a new daycare for him. He no longer bite, never bite at all at new daycare. The new daycare teacher told me that my son is one of most behave good kid she ever seem in last 10 years. Well, this may or may not be true. But this does told me that my son was probably too stressful or something is frustrated him in Precious One daycare. Since he could not talk, he bite to release his anger. I am not recommend this place for young kids, maybe age 3-4 and up.
I used to work here.. USED to is the key here. When I first started I got sick, as expected. At first Stacy was extremely understanding. Then one day I threw up at work at she got really mad because I had to go home.. my thought is you’re working with kids, I really should not be around them with the flu. Well I also got strep throat and Stacy told me my options were basically to come in WITH STREP THROAT or not come back. So I did the right thing and I did not come back. Who would want their employees there with strep throat around children?? I know the parents would be LIVID!! Ugh. Stacy was very unprofessional dealing with the situation. I was very up front with her when I started but I feel like she was not. And I know I did not put in a 2 week notice but she made me feel unwanted (on more than one occasion) and she handled situations very immaturely. Especially when going to get my last 2 paychecks she owed me she barely opened the door enough for to get her hand out of it. I loved working with the children but I could not handle her any longer. Maybe she should hire some more employees for emergencies! And not make people come in with strep throat which is extremely contagious until you’ve been medicated for 24 hours (which I was not). I understand a business is a business and you’re supposed to do your job but most places who know what’s right would not make you come to work (especially around children) if you are contagious. I’d definitely not recommend working here or taking your kids here.
My granddaughter attends Precious Ones Day Care Home and Preschool full time. The Owner-Director, Stacy is a gem. She runs a tight ship, with equal amounts of rules and love. I've never seen a cleaner facility than this one, either. She will proudly take you on a tour of the entire home (though no one lives there), and tell you all of the well thought out planning and work that went into it. The staff that Ms. Stacy hires is educated, caring, and very loving with the children...or they don't work there. If you are not able to be a "stay at home parent" with your children; this is where you want to place them. The education is second to none, both scholastically, and socially. Organization, schedules and consistency abound. We leave our little one there with extreme confidence that she will be loved and cared for all day long, and SHE is happy there. If you are lucky enough to get an open spot, do so with confidence.
