Horrible experience. If you are a working parent this daycare is not for you. When my grandson started I was told to expect for him to be sick. If policies are followed for hand washing and washing toys, this should not be an expectation. My grandchild stayed sick the entire time he attended. It is a state policy that children's hands are to be washed upon entering the daycare and I never saw this happen.I never saw hand washing when providing care from one child to the next. The daycare had an issue that my grandchild had a rash and despite being told that the doctor said and it was dry skin(eczema) they demanded a note from the doctor. They also had an issue about a diaper rash and stated he couldn't return to daycare without a note from the doctor because they were concerned it was contagious. Now anyone who knows anything about how germs/diseases are spread know that if you wear gloves, wash your hands after contact and keep the area covered with a diaper, germs cannot be spread to other children, not to mention diaper rash is not a contagious disease. And let me point out I am a healthcare provider and I had informed them of all this. When the note was provided the legitamacy of the note was questioned (it had the name of the hospital system at the top) and they called the doctors office to verify the note. Obviously as a grandparent and a healthcare provider my word could not be trusted. The director called that Monday morning and stated that would be my grandchild's last day without a reason despite complying with all the unreasonable requests. That left us last minute trying to find childcare. Also upon picking him up one afternoon, I was told he had just fallen over in the chair and hit his head. At that point he was not walking and he was in a chair that his feet did not touch the floor and there was nothing to keep him from falling which could have resulted in a serious head injury.
