My grandson's items keep getting stolen. What kind of person steals from babies? Who are they hiring. One occasion, an entire outfit is stolen and seen on another child. Second occurrence, his shoes are missing. The worker called and found them at another parents home. They were put in the wrong bag by the worker....really. The very next week, his blanket is missing and my grandson has respiratory issues, and the wind needs to be blocked when he's coming and going. Not that night, when it was cold and breezy. The next day a bottle is missing when his mom picks him up. Where is management? No one seems to be there at night. Is this bordering on negligence? Who's watching the cameras - do they even work? Will we see his items again? Who's going to reimburse??? No emergency number for management - only the center's number.
Shady business practices and rude staff who need to work on their vocabulary among other things. Definitely not the kind of people you want to help you raise your kids.
I enrolled my son as full time at Kidtowne in Huntsville and withdrew him after three days due to a safety issue that they said couldn't be prevented or resolved. I was always nice about it and ultimately, I felt like it was a mutual decision between them and me.
I asked for a prorated refund for the remainder of that week's tuition and the director said I would get that and that it would be mailed to me quickly. That was on October 20th. After a few weeks, I went by there and left a message with someone for the director to call me back. I called on a different day and left a voicemail asking her to call me back. She never did.
On November 17th I called with my number blocked and someone answered and said I could go by to pick up the check so I did a few hours later. The director wasn't there and neither was the check. The girl at the counter had to call her and write out the check but it wasn't for the prorated amount that the director had promised me. They got the director on the phone who stated that she charged me the part-time rate. I tried to explain to her that wasn't what we agreed on and she repeatedly insisted that it was prorated and that's how they do it. Obviously she doesn't know what prorated actually means so I tried to explain that to her but instead of her just admitting that she didn't know what she was talking about or that she was wrong, she got rude with me and talked over me. Up until then I had been overly polite and patient but I had to compete to be heard at this point because she wouldn't listen to what I was explaining to her then told me I could take the amount they were giving me or take nothing and exit the facility.
The blatant dishonesty coupled with her dodging my calls for weeks just further confirm that I made the correct decision when I pulled him out of there.
If they're dishonest about money then imagine what they're dishonest about when it comes to your child.
Not even a 1 star Kidtowne on 72 is Horrible, the kids are “bad” & “out of control” all at the age of 3! Teachers get fired for knowing the parents & if the teacher has a child their & they get fired, THEY HAVE TO GET UNENROLLED!!
