About the Provider

Description:

My name Maria Rosa I am the owner and I operate my child care business for 11 years.  I pride myself on providing a loving, safe, and fun environment for the children in my care.  My single family home has a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run and play.  A nice indoor playroom for fun crafts and learning time.  A fun daily routine is provided in which we work on developing skills in preparation for kindergarten.  My home is smoke free and pet friendly.  I enjoy providing detailed and individual attention to each child, as well as in a group setting.  It would be my pleasure to meet with you, at which point I will be happy to provide you with references of current parents I work with (as well as parents I have worked with in the past).  I look forward to hearing from you and would love to meet you and your son.  If you have any questions or would like to schedule an interview, please feel free to call or text me to show the contact information that we offer healthy foods with the meal program menu.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Our grandson attended this daycare from approximately May 2021 through May 2022. He is currently 21 months old. My husband and I were responsible for bringing him to daycare 2-3 times per week and sometimes picked him up from daycare. He is no longer there.
You should not send your child here. It is an unsafe and unhealthy environment. The provider is dishonest and does not have the children's best interest in mind. Her priority is to make money. The following is what my family experienced:
Chaotic and loud environment with no control over the children: there was no order, no specified nap time, and no discipline or control. The provider’s 4 year old son was extremely loud, physically aggressive with the other children, including our grandson, and many times would run to the front door and open it by himself, with no adult present.
Our grandson would not get his naps, as the provider’s primary interest was taking care of her older children. She would pack up all the kids in the car at least twice a day to drive her kids to and from school/work. As a result we were often told that our grandson only slept 20 minutes because she had to wake him up and put him in the car in order to get her kids from school. He was constantly tired AND hungry because often times she would only give him a bottle for lunch instead of a healthy meal. Several times when his mom picked him up she would say how he was so tired and so cranky and SO hungry because he was not fed and he was denied a good, healthy nap. He is almost 2 years old and requires actual food to nourish his little body, so he would come home tired and hungry. It was heartbreaking.
Emotionally unstable provider - our grandson (under the age of 2) was sick with covid; the provider became very angry and kicked him out of the daycare because the county closed the daycare pursuant to county regulations regarding covid, for 10 days. I had to explain to her that it was not the baby's fault he caught covid and there were no other daycares with availability for children under 2. She was not concerned for his well-being as a result of covid, but rather, she was angry because she could not keep her daycare open and make money. Her words to me were "I need to have my daycare open, I cannot afford to have it shut down." She reluctantly took him back.
Unsafe environment – she was seen driving extremely fast with the children in the car. Her 4 year old son is extremely aggressive with the other kids and we have personally seen him push, kick, and hit other children including our grandchild. The provider did nothing. We had to ask her son to stop hitting, pushing kids down, etc. At one point our grandson came home with a huge lump on his forehead because he fell down the ledge to her family room. The parents were never contacted. When his dad picked him up from daycare at the end of the day he had to take the baby to urgent care.
She was in violation for having too many kids under the age of 2 so she had to kick 2 babies out of daycare, as the county discovered her violation. As a result the children were displaced and the parents were put in a bind with no daycare.
The cribs were set up in the daycare room where the noise level was very high. She allowed her 4 year old son to sit close by the crib where the baby was trying to take his nap. Her son would play on his tablet excessively loud so the baby would become freightened and woken up. As I said, he was constantly cranky and tired from not sleeping. Sleep is crucial to a babies health and growth – his health and growth were put in danger at this daycare.
Additionally, the police have been seen several times at her house as a result of her older child with issues. He lives in the house and is there at times in the afternoon while the children are there for daycare. I was constantly concerned for our grandson's safety and well-being. We searched for a long time to find other daycares, but every daycare was full for children under the age of 2 and there were waiting lists only. His parents finally managed to find a spot for him in a new daycare, but it took a very long time.
This is a very unhealthy, chaotic, and unsafe environment for the children. I would urge you not to send your child here.
