Description: Each week, the preschool teachers create a lesson plan using these twelve catagories. Each area must be incoorperated into the lesson plan at least once per week but can be used up to five times per week.
When the children enter the four-year-old room, the curriculum shifts and we begin to familiarize the children with the same kind of learning environment they will see in kindergarten. First Steps is enrolled in The Learning Box Preschool program. This professionally developed monthly curriculum covers a multitude of subjects, skills and concepts including pre-writing,pre-reading, math, science, social studies, music, creative arts, health, etc in a fun and enjoyable way. Sample days are available upon request.
