About the Provider

Description: A preschool that mostly serves children from low-income families and special needs children. The centers are open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Children's Program from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and a snack provided for the Head Start classes. Provide social, health, mental health and educational services. Educational programs include CPR, safety classes, child development training, Father Power (male involvement training), parental rights and responsibilities. Head Start prepares children for kindergarten and helps children transition into the school system. There are 10 classrooms for 184 children located in Silver City, Santa Clara, Stout Elementary School, 6th Street School, and Bayard.
