I am an employee

I was the two year old teacher there, had my two weeks notice in and my kids still enrolled because I genuinely liked their teachers.
But March 11th I was told that the center was telling parents I was leaving to move back to West Virginia which is not true at all. (I was also told that one of the previous teachers left because they needed healthcare which I now know to be false). I was leaving because I was constantly witnessing mistreatment and neglect of these children, voicing my concerns to the director, and nothing changing.
There was issues where the “co teacher” was picking favorites, throwing things at the children, not washing their hands, delaying changing diapers especially poopy ones to the point where the kids would get bad diaper rash, would rip kids up by their arm (witnessed this with my own 4 year old and he ended up having a stretched nerve in his arm), is always on their phone, watched tiktok while putting kids down to nap, never cleaned anything, and was genuinely not nice to the kids. I’ve had kids cry for me because they didn’t want to be left alone with them. Now I was no perfect teacher, I raised my voice more than I should’ve because the stress of doing everything myself for 12 two year olds was exhausting. They have cameras and tell the parents they can’t view them out of the safety of the kids but I think we all know the real reason. I learned that I have to time and date everything or the director doesn’t believe that it happened and that I am just causing drama. Never have I shared false information with one of the parents. If anything I held back a lot more than I should’ve. I shouldn’t have to fear losing my job because I informed a parent about their child being mistreated.
Now back to March 11th, a couple parents asked me why I was leaving and I gave them my honest answer. At 8:30 at night I was sent an “early release of employment” email and my children were unenrolled. This all because I shared concerns with parents. I wanted to stay there I wanted to be there for the children, I didn’t want to abandon them. But I morally cannot work somewhere that doesn’t care about the kids. Especially the ones they mark as “challenging”. Now with this being said that was my experience with a person they hired to be my “co teacher” who has worked there for 5 years, the same person I was written up for “gossiping” about after sharing concerns with a parent. The same person the director told me to and I quote “treat like the B*tch of the classroom”, “you need to tell her what to do or she won’t do it”, “she is not all there”, “she is just a body”, and “she needs a lot of direction”. Now I do not have an issue with who this person is, they are funny, outgoing, and have a lot of personality. But they are not a teacher and I do not like how they treat/interact with kids.
Also the infant and preschool teachers are phenomenal and deserve way better!
This got way longer than I intended but in my opinion the director only cares about the children they want to care about, their “babies”.
Oh and the director is going to come on here anonymously and say that I’m probably just a petty ex employee spreading gossip. But I wasn’t, I was giving this job everything that I had even buying things the kids needed with my own money. Now I’m “petty” because they accepted my resignation early and didn’t pay me for what I already worked. I can be petty and everything I say still be true. Now I’m not saying to unenroll your child if they attend the daycare but just listen to your child, if your child shows reservations and you’re seeing signs don’t bother going to the director because they’re apparently blind and deaf. Like I said before there are some amazing teachers that work there and they do amazing work but the Leadership at this place is absent to say the least.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My son is/was in the one year old room where his teacher Jillian always smelled like drugs. Other parents have noticed as well. The smell some days is very strong. Luckily my son spends most of his time now in the two year old room where the new teacher there is very nurturing and structured. I wish I could give more stars because I really didn’t have any issues until Jillian started. If you are planning to enroll a one year old, just don’t.

The owner is probably going to delete this because she deletes negative reviews So that way you can't see them and her day Care looks better than what it is And that she doesn't delete as revealed. She'll probably have her friends that attend the day. Care right positive reviews after the spine. So she looks better than what she is. This is truly hands down The worst day care ever, the owner does not respect her employees and the only ones that she respects are the ones that she likes. The owner and director are pure awful. The center is not ran appropriately They do not follow state guidelines. Nor do they care about any childs allergies or medical problems A long with stuff The owner plays favorite when it comes To family and Children while working here I have seen illegal things happen in the center And owner has done illegal things as well. Staff has been very aggressive with children with behavior problems And special needs they has said Some really disrespectful things to the students. The staff is always constantly yelling and doesn't have enough support from the director. I have also witnessed staff being very aggressive with children and draging them down the hallway By their arm While the rest of their body is on the floor. From the classroom to the bathrooms. because they refused to walk. They have been open for 2 years and can't keep stuff due to how the owner and director treats the staff. They also disrespec the parents of the children that work there if you tell them that you're not happy with certain situations that are going on. They do not listen to you and they do not solve any problems. This day cares Almost cost me my life. I was working here back in January and I told everybody, including the owner and all the staff members about my severe allergy. It was totally ignored And I ended up in the emergency room and almost lost my life. The owner refused to do anything about it. The owner also does not supply stuff that you need to be a successful teacher. There is barely any art supplies. In order to do crafts, there are barely any sensory stuff to do any sensory and there are basically nothing to do science projects. You were told you have to give 2 weeks' notice of what you want, but yet you never barely get any planning time and you definitely don't get enough. Planning time to plan 2 weeks in avans You are told you have a $5000 limit. For your classroom. But when you requests this you are unable to get them And if she does get them she gets them to you. Wait half the time of when you need them for your lesson plans You also have really no leeway in the classroom. And what you wanna do.In her way or the highway and she will not listen to your wife or even take it in consideration if you want to change things around in the classroom or mean that suits the children's needs better This was hands down one of the worst experience

I have had my child in this center for two years now. I have had a great experience with this center from the start. It is true that the owner Tiffany has stepped away this year and left Taylor the director to manage the center, but Taylor is at the center everyday. I have noticed a couple Fridays she hasn't been there, but Tiffany was there to cover. Taylor welcomes each family in every morning at door or she is in a classroom, which has me confused by some reviews. This is a smaller center so there are less staff than what I've seen at other centers, but this is also because the classes are smaller. This is not a large center, but that is what I was looking for for my child. This center is not perfect, but when issues occurred Taylor talked to me directly about it and showed concern.

I worked at Early Impressions Learning Center for three years and it was a great experience for me. I learned so much from the owner, director, staff, parents, and kids who I worked alongside and with.

The owner, Tiffany, has been amazing throughout my entire time with the center, having always prioritized the kids and doing all she can to support the staff.

I'm so grateful for the chance I got to work at Early Impressions Learning Center and the opportunity I had to help the children at the center grow and learn.

Early Impressions Learning Center is a wonderful center, the staff do an amazing job supporting the growth of the students and letting them explore the environment in safe ways. They teach important life skills and social skills that will help the students throughout their entire lives. I loved working at Early Impressions Learning Center and highly recommend!

I have 2 friends that used this childcare facility, they rave about it. Their children love the place. They say the owner is very easy to work with.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I have worked at Early Impressions Learning center for 8 months now and can confidently say that I have had a pleasant experience from day 1. Yes, there have been staff let go, but this was due to poor performance. Staff are paid higher at this center than others and are held to a high standard for this reason. From my experience every staff member that has left or has been let go were not working at this standard. Tiffany or the director Taylor are there every day, which this does not occur at every center. They also get to know each child and family , which again does not happen at every center. The children are put first at this center and are always treated with respect. I would like to add that all the staff we have now are consistent and truly love what they do. I cannot speak on past staff members.

We have been with Early Impressions for over a year now and love it! They have such a unique philosophy on allowing kids to be kids while still learning the everyday skills they need. We can’t wait to expand our family as our future kids will be going there as well!

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

My family has been with Early Impressions for several years now and we love it. It is a great balance of play and learning. The center and staff are very accommodating and keep us updated daily. Their hours are 7:30-4:30 which does not work for all families but we love that our children have the same teacher all day and aren’t tossed around between multiple teachers daily. Would highly recommend!

Following several vists at this facility, I have been very impressed with the way the children are taught, allowed to express themselves and grow. The children learn about nature and how to get along. I was very impressed with the bonds berwwn the instructors and the children.

Don’t believe these reviews. I’m sure they’re from staff that weren’t a good fit at her center. Tiffany cares more than any other center out there about your children and is constantly finding more ways to engage the children and help them grow. She’s very strict about who she hires and isn’t afraid to fire them if they don’t perform and take care of your kid to the level of care she expects. This isn’t a center that just babysits your kid while you’re at work. It’s a center that challenges them and teaches them to explore, be independent and expand their learning. She has never been found to be out of ratio despite these lies in other reviews and you can confirm that yourself through DHS. Good luck finding another daycare owner that knows every single one of your kids names anywhere else. You won’t find a more involved director or owner. I’m sure most of these reviews are from staff that got fired for not showing up to work, or maybe one of them who had the police question her for stealing files. That’s the type of staff she lets go. The ones that are still there speak very highly of her and can attest to her more than fair pay, work conditions, generosity and accommodations. Figured I’d put up this review since it seems a few bad apples were trying to tarnish a very professional center! We love it here and so does our little one!

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

I worked at this childcare center, and I can not express enough how you should not send your children to this center.

Tiffany is a narcissist treating her staff and the children in her care as disposable and replaceable.

I brought up a concern about a coworker bragging about getting high before work, and all the director replied was “I have to go to the bathroom.”

They believe in group punishments and neither Taylor nor Tiffany want to spend their days with children and it’s disgustingly obvious. Tiff leaves almost every day at noon as soon as a part time employee can come and cover her. She doesn’t care if the staff can use the bathroom or can maintain a safe ratio.
