Donna Massey is the awesome day care provider I've ever used with my six kids at different points in time and she's always been a very loving caring nurturing educational person and facility and an individual who truly cares about my children and very immaculately clean and sanitized might I add. She's always been very family-oriented and she shows actual attention and affection towards each child that she does provide care for.I recommend her for any age group of child.
We would NOT recommend this daycare facility. My son was in Dawna's care for almost a year. Towards the end of my son's care, things were not adding up. Every time we picked him up, he needed a diaper change, did not matter if I picked him up early or not, it was always "He was just about to get a diaper change". My son was speech delayed and had normal toddler fits because of it, and I would get told that he would throw his plate off his tray, normal toddler behaviors, but Dawna would text me at work to tell me my son did it "Aggressively". That is NORMAL toddler behavior! My son towards the end would scream and cry about going to her facility, and after finding out what really goes on behind clothes doors, I am ashamed and kick myself for trusting this woman. My son slept in his own room with a night light before coming to this facility, a couple weeks in, my son became afraid of the dark and anybody closing the door while he was in a room. Well come to find out, his punishment's and timeouts were Dawna putting him in a dark room with the door shut, at 2 years old! My son started saying "Dawna bad" all the time out of nowhere, literally breaks my heart now to think about. I gave my son timeouts at home and he never said "Mommy bad". Sickens me to think about what else happened that I haven't found out about.
After we left, found about all of the investigations and lies Dawna has been telling. Look up her license and you will find it all. Dawna claims its a disgruntled employee defaming her, but I know of at least 10 other families that all have stories. Families that have not been to this facility in a couple years have similar stories. Run from this facility!! Make sure to trust your gut and to ALWAYS check the license.
Dawna is the best of the best! She’s so loving with the kids, and her facility is so clean, spacious, and warm. Both of our kids love Dawna, and are excited to go to “school” everyday. She and her husband are two of the kindest people we’ve ever met. Any children in Dawna’s care are in a great place and as a parent, you can rest assured that they are well taken care of and loved. Highly recommend!
