It’s taken my wife and I a really long time to formulate the words to express our experience with Chelsea Goly- the owner of Forever Friends Daycare in Fairport, NY. We didn’t want to write a review when our emotions were running high, and when we were trying to support our son through such a detrimental and influential time in his life, all while trying to maintain the livelihood of our family, both financially and emotionally.
So after some time of thinking we feel compelled to let everyone know what a terrible experience that we had at the end of our care, and just how much it affected our 3.5 year old son and family as a whole.
There was a situation that occurred at daycare with another child that was unconfirmed and unwitnessed, that we feel was handled unprofessionally, unfairly and discriminatory towards our family. Despite our efforts to handle it in an adult and professional manner to have a dIscussion with all parties to talk about the UNWITNESSED incident, our services were told they were to be suspended while Chelsea “evaluated” the UNWITNESSED situation. Less than 12 hours later, we were informed by another parent that our childcare services were terminated without being personally informed by Chelsea.
Given the professional, educational, and law background of our family, we felt that our son was discriminated against. After seeking counsel from a family lawyer and our pediatrician, we now know that there was ZERO grounds for the termination of childcare for our son.
Despite the many red flags that we saw; -The condition and cleanliness of her home
-The addition of a 100 pound furry dog her family got 6+ months ago
-The lack of outdoor time
-The number of children of all ages in her care (up to 15 kids at a time with 1 assistant) without ample space.
We were still willing to work with Chelsea as she had been providing care for our son for over 2 years. But, at the end of the day, despite all of our professional efforts our services were terminated with no clear evidence or notice. Chelsea has put our family in an emotional and financial hard ship, and I would like for you all to know that our “termination” IS a blessing in disguise. We now know what it’s like for our son to be cared for by someone who is professional, ethical, and is looking out for the best interest of our child, along with all of the children in her care.
We urge you to take serious consideration before choosing this daycare for your well loved child.
