Description: Children who are 3 to 5 years old are eligible for Head Start services. Pregnant women and children from birth to 3 years of age are eligible for Early Head Start services. Children and families who are homeless, in foster care, or receive TANF or SSI are also eligible for services. Eligibility is determined by Head Start program staff and some families may be eligible for services if they are determined to be at or below the federal poverty level. Some grantees enroll a percentage of children from families with incomes above the Poverty Guidelines as well.

Poor communication. I enrolled my daughter in April for the school aged summer program. I was told she would have a spot. I found our from a friend in May that they were not having a summer program and that she received a text from them stating that. I had to message the facility to find out that the summer program was in fact canceled. I am left with no childcare options because of this decision made so close to school being out - there's now no time to enroll elsewhere since all facilities in the area are obviously full at this point. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and last minute decisions. I'm glad I contacted the facility instead of showing up in a week and a half with my child and no spot available.
