Description: It is the mission of our Christian-based school to provide a structured, developmentally appropriate values-rich program for preschool children. We believe play is the major vehicle which children integrate knowledge, feelings and skills. Therefore, play is an integral part of our schedule. Our learning program provides our young learners with access to manipulatives that encourage thinking and problem solving, allow for sharing of thoughts and ideas, as well as motivate learners to share their creativity, curiosity and talents with other. Activites are planned that encourage dramatic play, creativity, experimentation, manipulation, cooperation and socialization in a structured school setting. Graduates of St. John’s Preschool are prepared for kindergarten in a public or private school setting.

The only reason I would give st johns preschool 1 star is because you cant go lower than that. My first issue with this school is how violent the students are. My son is 4. He came home on several occasions telling me one boy in his class was pinching him all the time. I let him continue going there thinking this wasnt that big a deal since there was never marks on him and he always said he was ok. I noticed after about 2 months of going there he was having really bad attitudes at home. Everyone told me its probably fine, just being a boy and testing his limits. My other child is a girl and never gave us much trouble so I tried to accept that. Since we have been on spring break I have only had a few issues with his attitude. I go on all the field trips with my son. We had one to pizza king in march. It was pretty cool and most of the kids had a great time. What ruined it for me was when one student wrapped a strap around his twin sisters neck and literally drug her across the floor. The teachers and director of the school saw this and did nothing. No time out or anything. I have spoken with other parents of the class and they have said they see a few students doing things like this all the time when they are in the class room. My final complaint with this school is the director decided to increase my sons tuition at the end of the school year and has repeatedly tried to charge for fees that have been paid already. When I tried to bring it to her attention she tells me I havent paid and doesnt have time to deal with it. I would love for her to show how it hasnt been paid when I have copies of all my checks, one of which clearly includes these fees. Needless to say my son will not be going back now that spring break is over.Do yourself and your child a favor by avoiding this place.
