I filled out an application (which cost $20) months before needing a daycare provider with K-State CCD and was told that I would hear from the enrollment director (Anna Howard). After weeks of not hearing anything, I started to try and get in communication with her, which was nearly impossible. If she wasn't in the office, then she was "busy" and would have to call me back, which never happened. After I finally got in touch with her, she told me that she would not know if there were going to be openings until a couple weeks before I needed a daycare provider (mid november), and that I should probably start looking elsewhere. She did say she would contact me in the middle of October, and let me know about their current situation. Well I decided I would wait it out since I work at the university and they have discounts for employees, and see what she had to say when she contacted me in October. I waited until a week after she said that she contact me before I tried to get in touch with her. I had the same problems with her either not being in the office or not being able to take a phone call, and then her not returning my call. I finally got a hold of her and she said that there IS an opening and I would have to come in to fill out paperwork. After all the frustration with communication, I have decided to pursue other options. I know the facilities at CCD are really nice, but you will be paying for the quality. My discount (alumni and faculty status) is good for about $50 a month (around $950 per month after the discount).
