Description: Infant-Toddler Care: Ages 6 Weeks-3 Years The Y’s infant-toddler program focuses on the five areas of child development: cognitive, social-emotional, language, fine motor, and gross motor development. The infant-toddler daily schedules are based on the needs of the child and the staff are experienced and trained to provide individualized care for all the children in the program. Centers are open 6:30 am-6:00 pm, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks are provided. Preschool: Ages 3-4 Years Y Preschool strives to serve the whole child, providing stimulation and positive experiences to enhance social, physical, and mental development. We place a great deal of emphasis on the child’s self-esteem. Y Preschool uses the Get Set for School curriculum and focuses on letter, shape, and color recognition. Each child will participate in structured gym activities and a weekly swimming lesson. Centers are open 6:30 am-6:00 pm. YDC and YDC North registrants receive breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Kindergarten Readiness Preschool: Ages 4-5 Years Kindergarten Readiness Preschool builds on the skills children learned in the 3-4 preschool program and helps them build a foundation for school readiness. Children will have daily structured gym experiences and a weekly swimming lesson. This program uses the Get Set for School curriculum, which develops early writing, literacy, and math skills. Centers are open 6:30 am-6:00 pm. YDC and YDC North registrants receive breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. YDC Mandan participants receive breakfast and snacks; sack lunch brought from home.
