Absolutely not!! I feel like I’ve kept my quiet way to long enough.. I enrolled my daughter at 3yrs old.. informing the school of her severe separation anxiety.. it was extremely bad still working on it to this day.. school insured me they could handle this.. insisted in a few weeks she’d be fine that all kids go through the phase.. wrong it only got worst.. I have a list of incidences to back this up.. but to keep this short I’ll talk about the ones I feel most parents may relate to.. I picked my child up after work walked in to see a good size bruise, and cut on her face.. immediately ask what had happen and no one knew.. asked to see the injury report and was none.. of course her teacher had already left for the day so was told I’d had to wait till the next morning.. when I got to speak to the teach was informed that a 3yr old boy had pushed her on the playground.. ok kinda the same story I got from my daughter of course the teacher left out the fact the boy got on top of my daughter and hit her after pushing her.. when ask about the incident report was told by the teacher she didn’t see any marks and didn’t feel a need for one.. mind you my daughter had dried up blood still on her face when I picked her up.. I of course asked what was gonna be done about this situation just to be told the boy 3 years old only had a crush on her and was just being a boy.. what.. what child that young even knows what a crush is.. also when I finally did receive a report it clearly stated the teacher only filled it out due to me complaining.. I was lucky enough to have gotten a phone call within a few day of this situation that another school which we had been on the waiting list for for over a year had an opening.. needless to say we switched.. now it’s been a couple of years and through therapy I’m still learning just how bad her time there was.. like with the separation anxiety she was made to go into what she calls the break room because her crying was to loud and bothering the other kids.. she talks about hours spent in this room mainly by herself and was only aloud out once she calmed down.. sickens me to learn these facts and how badly she was treated by people I promised her she could trust.. I would never recommend this place for anyone let alone a child
I have had my child in this daycare for about a month now and he seems to enjoy going there. They do alot of activities and he has fun. One thing that did upsettle me is I went on vacation for a week and a half and had my childs grandmother pick him up. My husband and I did not mention that the grandmother was coming to get him and they had never seen her before but when she went to go pick up my child they did not ask to see her ID at all the entire week of her picking him up. Anyone could have picked him up and my child would be missing. The place is a little dirty but its hard to keep a clean place with so many kids. The staff is a little standoffish and only seems to care about getting your money. This is why I only give 2 stars.
I have been employed at village square for over a year now...the parents that have had their children enrolled there since the centers opening are still there.parents comment on the family closeness and the fact that the staff and the owner keeps in contact with them frequently, whenever parents have concerns..the supervisor and the owner reach out to them personally..i have been in childcare for over 15 years and have never seen owners of the business offer that support and comfort to parents..some of the comments listed on here are from people that were not the right fit for the program..the children are happy to come in and love the activities offered to them, as well as the fresh prepared meals they are served daily..I commend all the employees of this center and look forward to growing more with the community!! Thank you to all the parents who have children at the center for your trust and support!!
i would recommend this learning center. i'm sorry to see that somebody got a bad experience with them but i can asure you that this place is not like that.
Beware, I would not recommend Village Square Learning Academy Center for it is nothing more than a babysitting service. The owner is a flipping joke. She preaches religion yet speaks with the Devils tounge. Supposed to be professional yet I've seen first hand her bullying (including cyber bullying ) her staff. Teachers are way underpaid and are taken advantage of in more ways than one. One teacher was made to pay for a window that got broken by a child that threw a toy. They go without breaks and even lunch because they are under staffed. Teachers come and go like the summer traffic because of this. Who suffers the most??? The children. Nothing ever gets taught because there is a new teacher every week. Place is dirty and children are out of control because nobody knows what the heck to do. Owner never there. My child attended another local learning center for a couple of years and I never had nor did I ever hear any other parent, teacher or child have any type of complaint / issue with that center.
Poor teachers, poor communication. Was lied to about summer camp field trips (they never happened). Center is often dirty and children are left to their own devices to fight and bicker without staff intervention. Never disclosed to parents that there are tenants living above the center who come down stairs and smoke by the entrance. Front door is often left unlocked and no attempt to add keypad entry has been paid. Playground was not treated for mosquitos and other bugs during the spring and summer causing several children to get a large amount of bug bites.
The teachers only make $10 an hour and staff overturn is very high. Most teachers are oblivious to what it takes to properly run a class and the owner is never there (on vacation or at a non-existent "other center" at all times)
Would not recommend under any circumstances.
