Description: Welcome to the Sunflower Patch Home Daycare! I provide care for children ages 6 weeks through 4 years from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. My main goal is to provide a safe and loving place for your child to spend the day. I focus on their emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development. Each week we focus on a theme, and activities include art projects, songs and finger plays, stories, math and science activities, and more! We go outside in our fenced-in backyard twice daily, weather permitting. There are a range of age appropriate toys both indoors and out. The daycare room is organized into centers, including dramatic play, blocks, art, train table, library, etc. Please contact me to arrange a visit and to speak about how I can help meet your family's childcare needs. Additional Information: About me: I am currently a stay-at-home mother to our two young children. My background is childcare and education, with over 15 years experience in early childhood and elementary education. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology and my Masters degree in Education, and am a certified elementary teacher in New Jersey. After having my son, I stayed home for 18 months before returning to work. I know how hard it can be to leave your child in someone else's care. That is why after having our daughter, instead of returning to work elsewhere, I decided to start a home daycare. It is something I had always thought about doing, having worked at two home day ares in college.
