My son attended this Polish daycare as a 4 year old beginning of 2012. He never liked being there, he was always crying on the way to school, at first I have thought that it is a normal behavior but after few months of constant nagging of his teacher and the school director I decided to find out why my son doesn't like this school and why his teachers are complaining. It is hard to have a heart to heart with your 4 year old, but over time I have learned that my son was yelled at, put in a corner and punished on regular basis. I have approached the school assistant director and she said that my son does not behave while in school, he doesn't follow the teachers rules and he is disturbing to other children. I got really worried and decided to reach out to a psychologist. The psychologist has determined that my son is a very smart 4 year old boy who knows how to read, spell and count and she has suggested that he should be put to a higher grade level. When I have mentioned this to the school director and assistant director they have told me right away that no such thing will happen. Few weeks after my conversation, the director has asked me to move my son to a different school because they didn't wanted to deal with my son. I have felt terrible!!! A 4 year old is being kicked out of a daycare this is unheard of!!! I have started to blame myself, the last two weeks were terrible for both my son and I, every morning while dropping off my son to school the director has been asking me when we will switch schools - that is a harassment!!!! I was able to find the best daycare replacement for my son, his new school is called The New Morning Montessori School in Itasca, this is the best thing that has happened to us, this school has totally different approach to each child.
Maybe Simba daycare is good for some, but for those kids who are more academically advanced it is not a good choice!!!!! They have no knowledge how to approach gifted kids. Simba Daycare = quantity not quality.
