My 5yr old attended the free summer VPK program. At the beginning of summer, she was slightly dyslexic, had trouble spelling her last name, and some behavioral issues. Come the end of summer, her writing has improved, she could spell her whole name (first, middle & last), and also her behavior changed dramatically. Now my 3 1/2 year old attends and unlike my 5 yr old, she has a frustrating time learning. She gets mad easily and doesnt want to do the work. At school, its a different story. She enjoys going to school & adores her teachers. The other night my 3 1/2 yr old said "Mommy, 2 words that go together & make 1 word is called a Compound Word." I cried. Whatever her teacher are teaching her is sure working. I spoke to her teacher the next morning & thanked her for a great job. Ms Parker & Ms Diane, you guys are absolutely the best!! anyone that wants their child in a loving, nuturing, and caring enviroment, should place their child at Little Disciples in Training. They have free transportation as well, which is great!!!
