Description: This program is based on the philosophy of Maria Montessori, the founder of the Montessori method. We believe that the play and learning that takes place in our program is important work. For that reason, all that the children do in our program is referred to as work because play and learning is a child's job. Our program is child guided, allowing the children to learn at their own pace and when they are ready. Teachers observe the work that the children are doing and are drawn to and guide children to expand that learning. We incorporate many real-life activities and materials into our program, alongside the Montessori activities that children do with the materials. We strive to get the children outside for significant amounts of time during the day. Our outdoor space is based on the theory of loose parts. This means that many of our materials found in our outdoor area are open ended, allowing the children to construct, problem solve, and explore in infinite ways.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
