Description: Judea Nursery School is a non-profit Pre-school which was founded in 1965 and has been constantly growing and providing a safe comfortable environment catered to learning and fun. While graciously hosted by the First Congregational Church we are a traditional non-sectarian nursery school. JNS is a state licensed nursery school with a nurturing and professional staff that are certified and well experienced. Our schools child-friendly environment is filled with a healthy balance between structured and non-structured activities. Throughout the day children participate in a variety of activities at different centers in our classrooms which provide the children with skills they need for development in language, math, science, and social skills. Everyday children are involved in developmentally appropriate activities which include but not limited to, writing, books, art, cooking, baking,blocks, puppetry, dramatic play, and science experiments. Sensory activites with sand, water and play dough are also available. Group time consist of storytelling, group games, music, and movement. Judea Nursery School's access to the Historic Washington Green makes it possible for the children to enjoy outside activities including tricycles, use of the jungle gym, sand box play, and nature activities and walks.
