Very worried about the kids Aug 07, 2016
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

I have took my daughter here for 3 years. I should have left the first time I seen problems but they were so cheap and I really couldn't afford any other place. The first thing I seen was they would put the little toddlers in high chairs most of the day have kids watching TV almost all day not learning anything. Also would see babies sleeping in car seats instead of cribs. The preacher and his wife are the owners of the daycare and I know they have grand kids that go there and I would see them screaming and yelling at their grandkids and would have several people saying stuff to me about how they yell at kids not knowing that it's their grandkids. My daughter was also left at preschool one time and had to leave work early to go pick her up and when asked why they didn't pick her up they said the guy that drove the van call in. They apologized and said that would never happen again so I gave them another chance well then two years later she's going to first grade and the daycare moved to Clarksville and told me they would be able to take her to her Elementary School. On the first day of elementary they did not pick her up from school I got a call saying that she had been sitting there for 45 minutes after school let out so I had to rush from work to go get her the next day she was 15 minutes late to school the daycare was a no-show for picking her up the school cannot even get a hold of them she sat there for almost an hour until I got a call saying that the daycare was not there. When I called the daycare to find out what was going on after I picked up my daughter they told me she was not allowed to come back to the daycare because they were not able to pick her up from school anymore that it was out of their way when the elementary school is in Clarksville and their daycare is in Clarksville. When they told me she was not allowed to come back no more it was on a Friday at 5:45 knowing that the other daycares close at 6 and are not open on the weekends to give me any time to find somebody to get my daughter to school and picked up for the following week. I had to call every every person I know all weekend long just to find somebody that would be able to get her to school Monday and pick her up on top of being sick and running a fever of a hundred and one.

DO NOT send your child to this daycare. They are the worse. I was new to the area and found an affordable daycare close to me and in a church (which I felt comfortable enough to take my daughter)
The first issue that I had with the daycare is when I went to pick my child up at an earlier time than expected and noticed that her shoes were missing OFF HER FEET. Now I understand that children (2yr olds) love to play with ther shoes / socks but when I asked about them it took the WHOLE church to look for them. They checked the snack room the class room and even the nap area and the shoes were never located. The Pastor (which is a very rude and shady man) came and said they he would not pay to replace my daughters flats Bc "they probably don't cost more that 2 or 3 dollars anyways". It wasn't the shoes that I was concerned about it was their lack of concern. If the staff were watching and paying attention to the children like they are being paid to do SOMEONE would have had a GENERAL IDEA of where they could be. But no after the Pastors comments and 10mins of searching I left in the cold carrying my 2 year old to the car with no shoes on!!!
I took her out for a few weeks then returned her after the owners call and apologized. As the previous poster mentioned...they are affordable but you get what you pay for.
The comments on here are true. My daughter was placed in the high chair for hours and sat in front of a tv. Out of the seven months she was there I've only seen two arts and crafts projects that hey have did. I say that as to mention that there is no structure. Toddlers should be be learning at a daycare as well as social interaction!
Recently I got my daughter potty trained (no help to them they would not put panties on her when asked!) to the point where she was having no accidents at home and even sleeping in her panties. Only to find out that they were putting another child's pull ups on her and changing her clothes before I came to get her!!

I will NEVER send my child back there and for those of you that do I recommend making unaccounced visits and asking plenty questions!!!!

My children went to Childcare Ministry for more than a decade. And I have a response to all the negative comments that have been posted. You should definitely check public record and not to listen to what these people say. There is always someone with an ax to grind. Let me give you a few facts about Pastor Wilkins. He was preaching long before Childcare Ministry was established in 2000. He was a pastor in 1996 when I met him and was a minister years before that. I checked the records and they are clean. So that just makes these comments outright lies. I attended a Parent Award Ceremony. There was a woman named Sharon Bates who stood and said they were an awesome daycare. She said the Pastor and his wife were sent from God and had nothing but good things to say about the daycare. Now this may not be important if it were not for the fact that this woman has worked for CPS for over 25 years. Wow! And on top of that, her son went there when they were just starting out in the home. They are good people. They charge $45 to $75 for infants. I will say it again. Wow! My point is the comments made do not support the public records. I have had over 10 years experience with Childcare Ministry and it has been all GOOD!

Justice for Kids Apr 24, 2014

I started off taking my 5 & 6 yr old to this location for over a year. We overlooked things that really should have raised some red flags. But overall, never had issues until recently. I then started taking my 2 month old there. I was informed by the head of the daycare that I should have setup an initial interview before bringing in my infant there. With that being said, my infant had already been going there for 3 wks. I called one Monday morning to let them know he would not be attending for that week. Their number rung up temporarily unavailable or disconnected. I fortunately, had the cell number of the staff member who watches over the nursery and informed her. She stated she would pass the message onto the owners. I get a call on Tuesday from the staff member I called the day before and she said that the Pastor told her I would still have to pay for the week even though my child would not be there in order to keep his spot in the daycare. I was never told prior to the call that I would have to pay. (My 5 & 6 yr have been going on and off there for over a year and not once have I been asked to pay for the weeks they are not there.)I asked that she have the head of the daycare call me. The head of the daycare called me and said that that was the policy and that I should have called her to let her know my child would not be in. I explained what I did Monday morning and that I should not be responsible for payment this week. I understand for future references but I was never told prior to this. She said that if I had proper interview prior to bringing in my child I would have known. Plus it is posted on their walls. A.) Even though, I failed to schedule an initial interview, I still had met with her after bringing in my infant and she had not mention this. (Her excuse was that she most likely was busy and forgot to mention when I had met with her-not my responsibility to remind her)B.) The walls are filled with not only information pertaining to daycare but information pertaining to the church. and, C.) Who really reads the information on the walls-I don't have time to read whats posted on the walls. I come to drop off my child(ren)and pick them up. After running around in circles, she said she would speak with the Pastor and see if they can waive this week's fee. I didn't think anything negative of it because I would assume she would rather keep 2 kids (3-my 6 yr old would attend there for the summer) than lose them. I called her the next day to get an answer and she said the policy holds up and kept bringing up that I never called. I told her I would not pay and we would rather pay another daycare twice to watch over my child than pay her and go through the crap I just went through. We always paid on Monday, never was late. I had more than enough for my infant than any of the parents had for theirs at the daycare. I thought I was worth keeping but apparently not.

After all this went down, we were informed by this website and other people who had taken their kids to this daycare that the Pastor was shady and the staff members were the head of the daycare and the Pastor's daughters. Not to mention the fact, that when my husband went to pickup up my infant's stuff from the nursery, there were only 2 adults to 30+ kids. Also a few girls had locked themselves in the girls bathroom and the head of the daycare was running around wondering what happened. We have also noticed that kids (around 10-12 years of age) would be outside, un-supervised. Any one of them could have been snatched up by a stranger and no one would have known. I drop my kids off in the morning, TV would be on for them already and pick them up in the afternoon and they would still be watching TV. This place does not really have any structure and they seem to hide behind the fact that they are a church so they seem to be invincible.

-1,really! When I moved to this area,I visited this daycare to maybe start taking my daughter there.First of all I had to go looking for someone,no one stopped me,or asked who I was. There were 2 girls about age 6 or 7 wondering around by the front door, where I easily got in,they could just as easily got out!The whole time I was looking for someone,to ask about the daycare services.A man was yelling the whole time in the background.I talked to one of the woman working there, and asked who was yelling? And she told me it was the preacher. He was yelling at a toddler!I left at that point, and did not go back. The saying is true, you get what you pay for,and they are cheap.

All you have to do is go to the Clark County Sheriff web page and do a background check on these people and their family employies. Then decide if you want your child in this place.

My grandchild was hidden in this day by has father to keep him from his mother. I went to get him with the court and they believed the ex's wife was his mother.Said this would never happen again sure enough it did. They copied the court for their record also.

Hello, I just happened to read your review but I have one question for you: Why would you send your child back for the remainder of the week and let your child stay all day if you said the teacher hit your child? If  that had happened to my child, I would not have sent them back at all!!!!!!! Nevertheless, I have known the owners and the employees for a very long time. My children attend this daycare and they are excellent at the services they provide. God has Blessed the owners to open up this daycare and they care for every child in there. In fact, I know that every child loves the owners and the teachers because they run up and hug them everyday. I have seen this with my own eyes and my children do the same thing. In addition, you need to be very carful at what you say aboput this daycare because they could lose clients because of your false accusations. Have a Blessed Day!

I was able to afford this daycare I let myself overlook the things that made me feel uncomfortable. I am a single mother desperate for childcare. I would come in and find my 19 month old (at the time) sitting in their time-out chair, which is the highchair, almost every day. If not there he was watching alot of TV. At that age they should be able to play and burn energy. The one day that I did find them playing was when the owners daughter ( an awesome young lady) was the caregiver that day. On the last day my son was there was when I walked in and yet again they were watching TV. He sensed my presence so so when he saw me he started to crawll over to me. The teacher hit and then grabbed him by his arm and when she yanked him by his arm it was to put him back to where he was sitting. Please look deep into yourself to see if you could really leave your precious child in this daycare where all the owner cares about is business, not the welfare of your precious child. I did not even want to give this place one star, but it made me give it something. They don't even deserve that one.
