Description: Most play is child-directed and centered so any "schedule" is usually confined to meal times and naps. Emphasis is on cooperative play and developing interpersonal relationship skills, fairness and respect for self and others, appropriate expression of feelings using words and cooperative problem solving. Creative expression is encouraged with craft materials, musical instruments, puppets and dress-up clothing. Walking "field trips" into the woods, to the pond or stream or up the logging road.
