At first I was excited about sending my child here. I felt the environment seemed inviting and friendly staff. I have a son who's getting rdy to transition to kindergarten in the fall and needed to improve on his social skills. I informed the school of this when we signed up. At first I was a cash paying parent but switched to ccdf about 2weeks into service. I began to get phone calls while at work EVERYDAY for somethings I would say was very petty (etc..my son dish by wanna sit down during lunch, he stuck his tongue at another kid, taking shoes off refusing to take the 2hr nap they force upon the kids) as well as one serious call he got access to a push pin and poked someone with it ( but the school didn't take accountability as to how a 4yr old got access to such a "weapon"..also had a child there that had problems at a previous school with being physically abused and one day I pick my son up and he tells me this little boy touched his private area. Immediately I asked the staff that was there and with the most nonchalant attitude she brushed me off and said she knows nothing and I'll have to wait to address it tomorrow with his regular teacher. So unprofessional! But then come to find out the teacher already had a feeling the child experienced abuse but as a caregiver you do nothing until they act out abuse on another child. It was frustrating having a medical degree and background going in to pick up my son and the director James would try and diagnosis my son with ADD/ADHD (and yes I already had him tested at a very reputable agency and I was told he's a boy being a boy). I would go there on lunch breaks to help"correct" whatever lil thing my son was doing that was basically just getting on their nervous. The last day my son was there I had 3 voice mails I went on my lunch to help no problems. .pick him up James and his teacher practically ignored me (so rude) and there was a letter with my name on it at the sign in that stated immediate termination due to my son being too hyper. The only time I talked to James was for him to play doctor and try to give a diagnosis and when he kept bugging me about ccdf hrs (side note on that. .they get more money from the state worth ccdf but wanted to cut my hrs back)
Seemed to just be about simple money and not the place to send your child if they go against the grain sometimes. .I got zero notice about the termination he was suspended 2 times and was only here for less than 2mos. Don't go here! !
