Good at some point, then Suddenly the place was full of African American care givers with no education and bad attitudes. Caught one of them eating cheesy Cheetos and grabbed my child with her dirty hands, also caught her mistreating my 5mo old and literally shut me down when I confronted her. After my confrontation, they re-organized the room so no other parent would walk in the way I did and see something they didn't want them to see. So all chairs and 'teachers' are now sitting facing the door to see who comes in. At one point, I walked in to get my child and one 'teacher' was just sitting there eating and like 3 other babies were crying and another one was on the cold dirty floor crying, covered in snot and she didn't even move a muscle to attend to any of the kids. I walked in this room and they were playing loud African American gospel music and one teacher was simging it out loud like she was in her own house. I didn't like that cuz they are supposed to be playing soothing, baby music or at least something more developmental for babies.
They don't clean room everyday, as they tell you they do. I walked in too many times in the morning when the floor was sticky from the day before and teachers didn't even care to tell me it was because they forgot to clean the room the evening before. Smells bad and kids go home all smelly. Babies are always covered in nose snot. They have some rules that they don't apply to every situation. They lie about what the baby eats and how much he or she eats.
I didn't send baby food a different occasions and they still wrote that my baby ate and loved the baby food I sent! I was like wow!!!
Same for the bottle and the milk...
And I caught them using the same rag to wipe off child face for every child in the room! Yuck!!!
They love for parents to go behind their butt and kiss them for a chance to get gifts for every occasion. And worse part is that they (teachers) expect them and even make a wish list of things they want!!! My child got hurt 3 times in one month and they didn't think it was a big deal for the this times.
Teachers take kids out in the cold without a jacket and I caught the teachers covered with a blanket complaining of how cold it was and my child walked to me saying he was cold!
The directors always take side of the employee and not the parent. No parent feels confident on reporting anything cuz the directors always make sure to twist the story and hide what really happened. And she worries more about her employees than the parent and child. She's very unprofessional and so is everybody else in there cuz she only hires whoever wants or needs a job. They have no dress code and everybody wears whatever they want with clothes that are 5 sizes smaller than they are and with jeans with holes in them and shirts showing cleavage and all fat rolls.
If child is teething and drooling, they don't care about changing baby and keeping baby dry. I asked them several times to change my baby bibs or outfit as many times as needed to keep him/her dry... They never did cuz they said they had too many other babies to care for and that's too much work! So my baby at that time always suffered from yeast rash on his/her neck.
They have cribs just for looks! They hardly ever put babies to sleep in their crib, no matter what time of the I walked in, my child was always in a swing!
Some teachers don't even care about a curriculum and development of the child. They don't read, sing or do anything to interact with child. When My first child was there, he was cared for by a white lady that is no longer there and she loved her classroom babies and she sang to them, read to them, put babies in circle to do activists to them, no matter how young they were 2-6-9month olds). This lady left cuz she didn't like the way the center was being run and the new employees coming in.... Meaning, all those African American with attitudes and no love nor devotion for what they do. All other white ladies I knew were there a few years ago.... Suddenly are gone! Makes everybody wonder why? And talking to other parents, they all wonder why the center is only hiring African Americans. But again, no parent wants to say anything cuz they need the child care and they fear that their child will no be treated equally if they complaint.
The sad part of it, is that this kids re growing up and developing their language skills and coming home speaking like the teachers speak to them with their African American slang!
I had Enough when my child came home talking to me the way his/her teacher did it at the center. Asked the teacher why she was speaking to child that's way and she didn't know what to say to me and just kind of smiled.
Great place if you can get in! Very long waiting list.
