Keiki Care Center of Hawaii, Inc. (KCCOH), a preschool care facility for children ages 2 to 4 years old, has been created to perpetuate and foster the philosophy and values that have been developed and carried on throughout the many decades of years of teaching by its highly trained, experienced and dedicated teachers and staff. Many of our teachers have degrees in the early childhood education field, and a few even have attained Master’s Degrees. You can be assured that your child will be in wonderful hands here at KCCOH. KCCOH was opened due to the closure of St. Timothy’s Children’s Center (STCC) in Aiea, since the hope was to employ as many of the teachers and faculty to keep the “ohana†together, as well as to continue to provide a great preschool education for those families that were displaced due to the closure. STCC was the only nationally accredited preschool on this side of the island, and KCCOH will definitely follow suit and strive for accreditation during this next year. At KCCOH, we view each child as an individual…a bright learner with potential for growth and development needing an optimal, stimulating environment. Our environment is safe, challenging, supportive, nurturing, and respectful of the child and his/her family.
Our mission is reflected in our school motto: “Quality education in a safe, caring environment.†Believing all children can learn, the staff continually strives to improve the instructional strategies and curriculum to challenge every child--including academically talented, disabled, and at-risk students. Learning occurs in a secure, orderly, nurturing, inclusive, and drug-free environment where all staff members have high expectations for student achievement.
Our Mission We are family! We facilitate quality, comprehensive services for families. We provide high quality early childhood education to our children. We advocate, motivate, and empower people to their fullest potential in becoming contributors and providers for the community.
Mission Statement Our Lady of Good Counsel is a Christ-Centered Parish enlightened by the Holy Spirit; guided by the scriptures, Tradition, and the Sacraments of the Holy Roman Catholic Church; through the Stewardship of Time, Talent, and Treasure, seeking to renew and maintain Love, Family Unity and Christian Values throughout the Community.

Head Start serves children ages three through five and their parents to provide a head start for school success. The Kalihi-based program offers early education classes, parent involvement, and health and social services.
We feel that a strong emphasis on character and values enhances the whole development of the child. Preparing an orderly, harmonious environment, where children can feel God's love and security, also ranks high in our priorities. Through careful, individualized monitoring, children are always encouraged to try new and challenging tasks. Our goal in education is to cultivate the child's own natural desire to learn. Children are encouraged to explore their world concretely and move at their own rate of speed with the gentle guidance of their teachers.
