About the Provider

Description: Vantage Point of Northwest Arkansas offers a therapeutic day treatment (TDT) program that provides children and teens K-12 with a combination of mental health services and education in an outpatient setting. Our therapeutic day treatment program services are for children and teens who are struggling with mental, emotional, and behavioral problems that prevent them from being successful in a traditional school setting. The mission of our therapeutic day program is to prevent the need for more restrictive, intensive services such as residential care or acute inpatient hospitalization. The schools are vital partners and are highly involved throughout the entire treatment process. The objective for our therapeutic day program is to transition the student back into a traditional school setting as quickly and effectively as possible. We offer our therapeutic day programs throughout Northwest Arkansas in Fayetteville, Bentonville, and Harrison.

If you want to be treated like every other state funded mental health facility treats their patients, ie. Ozark Health, yet pay out of pocket for the treatment, Vista Health is your place. I have never been so humiliated in my life, to have to justify myself to a receptionist just to get a message to the doctor, who I will not name as I actually do like the doc. I came to this place to get away from being tarred and feathered like other facilities do. I went out of town and left my medication in the hotel we stayed at. And when I called the doctor to get an emergency prescription, I was told by both the receptionist and the nurse that because of the type of medication that they wouldn't be able to do anything for me. I have never called in to get a prescription refilled early, and have been a patient of this doctor for 4 years, and on this medication for 10 years. Yet, one emergency comes up and good luck getting anyone to listen to you. If I don't take my medication on time I can have seizures. It's 2:00 pm and I haven't had one yet, but what if I had. How do you justify that? It s not the doctors fault though, he never got the message. His staff took it upon themselves to filter my call away from him, and not give him a message until 3:00 pm. He doesn't even know that his receptionists are treating patients this way. But be assured, the next time I see him, he'll hear all about it. Hopefully that may get someone reprimanded, at least, fired I wish.  But regardless, Vista Health seriously needs to train their receptionists and nurses to treat their patients like human beings, not mentally ill drug seekers, which I'm sure they do have to deal with, but to throw me into that pile was appalling.  shall be filing an official complaint. The problem is that the receptionists aren't paid enough to care, at all. Unfortunately, I became a patient of my doctor before he merged with Vista Health, when he was a private dr. and when his sister use to be the receptionist. When he merged with Vista, everything changed, and I became a number. I don't pay him cash, out of pocket to be treated like a goddamn number. Finally, 10 phone calls and 6 hours later I hear back from his nurse that they have called in a refill.  I am furious!!!
