I have used this provider for less than 6 months

My kids were enrolled recently at this Next Generation Daycare in Oswego NY. I made sure to go over every single detail of my son's FOOD ALLERGIES one of which is peanuts. It was made perfectly clear on every encounter with the owner and I also voiced my concerns with his preschool teacher. It was made clear to me that there was nothing to worry about as far as the owner and the teachers abilities to make sure my son was safe and I even told them I am comfortable with a separate table for him to eat at. His teacher also made clear to me she was comfortable using an epi pen if needed.

My children went their first day and the next day they showed up to be there the owner and his teacher both told my son and my husband it was too much for them to handle and he could not go there any longer. I had just gone back to work and had my schedule set with childcare supposedly in place. and they terminated my son the second day he was there for his PEANUT ALLERGY. There are other kids in the facility with FOOD ALLERGIES including a student in the same class as him with an egg allergy. I am not sure why my son's food allergies ended up being too much when it was known over a month before they even started. We also paid for a week to hold their spots in the facility as well as an enrollment fee (they were reimbursed). We did not have the funds at the time but made it work and I have had to shorten my hours due to no childcare.

This is unacceptable and I hope that this facility is taking steps to educate their staff and the owner in particular in taking care of children with food allergies, as well as singling out my child and denying him the same education and care other kids are receiving in this facility.
