Description: This was a house that we refurbished to meet the needs of children in child care. At this center we provide care for Young Toddlers, Older Toddlers, Preschool and Pre-K classes ( no infants). The teachers enjoy being able to switch out equipment and toys giving the children a variety of interesting and stimulating things.
We love our outside playground! It is divided to allow Young Toddlers and Older Toddlers to share one side, and the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes share the other. We have lots of shade and trees. The Swing sets are loved by all! We have a large patio area specially made for the children's large motor development, with Cozy Coupes, trikes and other riding toys.
In spring we carry Discovery Science outside, where we plant our own flowers and vegetable gardens with the children. As the season progresses we harvest our "crops" and the children get to enjoy their fruit and vegetable snacks.
Although quaint and cozy and the smallest of our (4) schools, this center is like going to grandma's house. Here we are licensed for 44 children, and the lower number provides a quieter atmosphere in a small group setting as we prepare your child for kindergarten. Here we use the "Mother Goose" program for our Pre-K children, presented with great experience by Ms Carol.
Our doors are always securely locked and our side entry door is coded for safety and security.
Ms. Jodi is our director at the Crooks center. She loves all of her children, and the parents are thrilled with her enthusiasm!
