We have used this daycare for all our kids. Loving home, they do except county subsidised children. Very structured environment also has a preschool teacher Monday through Fridays. They are also open weekends. Can't say any negative remarks. However they placed in the top 3 best of the desert. They are very busy and it's unlikely they would have an opening, but if they do act fast.
Shipman Family Child Care has a very loving and safe environment. I love the grassed back yard with privacy fence and playground. Very structured and the preschool teacher is a wonderful bonus.
We have been taking our kids to Jacque's for over six years now. They are reliable and they provide a disciplined, structured atmosphere for the kids. Homework time, nap time, regular meal and snack times. It does have a "grandma's" babysitting vibe because she has grandkids there and it is a comforting environment for the kids. This is their house, it has to be comfortable to live in as well as working in.
The owner is nice enough. But I have walked into the home and the husband was out back smoking, babies crying, and the licensed provider in sight! I've walked into a pitch black home only to find my daughter playing in the back bedroom. No one ever came out to greet me. I went months without actually seeing the woman except for a handful of times, I only ever saw the husband. I would recommend this home to someone who doesn't mind that "grandma" is babysitting atmosphere. But for someone looking for a professional, well managed daycare provider I would suggest looking elsewhere. This is not to say the folks weren't nice but the home just wasn't what I would call professional. Doesn't work well with county programs.
