Things change. I have read the review left by GastoniaMother and feel for her, but I do not find this to be the current situation. The location is now a NC Pre-K school and the teachers are very well educated and qualified. It is a well rounded program that not only develops the children and prepares them for kindergarten, but also assist parents in strategies they can use to aid in that development. I give New Horizons CDC a big thumbs up.
Beware! If you are a favorite parent your child will be treated like a favorite. Many children are treated unfairly because their parents work and don't have time to volunteer. I witnessed this first hand.
The place is filthy and smells. They told me during orientation that the place hadn't been cleaned in a while and was going to be done before school started. 2 months later that hasn't happened. I got on my knees with my child and when I stood up look at my pants, it looked as if I was crawling in the play ground. The staff is under qualified and will tell you just that. Just beware their are a variety of other places that do a much better job.
