I have used this provider for less than 6 months
At first sight, this seems like a good learning environment, but upon closer look and after more time, its not conducive to children's development at all.
My 19mo old child had begun potty training prior to enrolling at this daycare. All of a sudden he thinks he needs help to use the restroom. I'm glad he learned a new word, but was saddened by his regression. He was going all by himself previously. That was clue number 1.
Clue 2: Then he began insisting he sleep in my bed. I was really puzzled by this. I thought maybe because he naps with others he thinks he shouldn't be alone at night either. One day I pick him up at 5pm & he was just waking up from a nap. What? seriously? So I spoke with Yovana about it and was assured it wouldn't happen again.
Today I pick him up at 5:10pm & he was asleep. Why? I tell one of the workers (who speaks limited English forcing me to use my limited Spanish) that this is unacceptable. When we get home realize my now 24mo (fully potty trained; no accidents in months) is wearing a diaper. They give me some BS excuse about a social worker says kids this young should be able to sleep whenever they want. NO, they need set schedules because I'm not going to stay up all night, I have have to work, the that's why I need daycare. And supposed reason for the diaper is diarrhea. However, there aren't any poop stains in the diaper or in the underware that he left the house in. They didn't provide any soiled clothes, didn't notify my during the day that he had diarrhea, nor was I informed when I picked him. I was only notified of this diarrhea at 6:30pm after I complained about him sleeping so late and wearing a diaper. That was the end, I was through.
After all of that, I should not have needed to call the sheriff to have my baby's things returned. But I had to since Yovana (the daycare provider) wouldn't come out to talk to me. She sent her husband out instead. He does not watch my child, he is not employed by the daycare.
I would not recommend this place to any parent who wants to see progress in their child's development.
