Our Approach
The Montessori Kids of Long Island City provide an engaging early childhood education program built upon the classical methods of Maria Montessori with integration of Creative and Common Core curriculum where appropriate. Our preschool enables children ages 2 to 5 years old on a path which builds self-awareness and promotes creativity.
Our approach helps children build a foundation to solve problems, provides a strong academic skillset and importantly the personal confidence in themselves needed for a lifetime of success.

We are committed to teaching your children in a supportive and wholesome environment. Our students work independently, as well as in mixed age groups, to cultivate their self-esteem, self-discipline, time management skills, and problem-solving abilities. Each day, our teachers encourage open communication and a healthy exchange of ideas among students.
Our goal is to help children evolve into happy, curious and creatively rigorous young individuals who are secure in themselves, and open and empathetic to the needs of others. We recognize our profound responsibility to make the most of these influential years and to promote the natural curiosity and a love of learning that will be with your children for the rest of their lives.
