Description: Mi Mundo is a Licensed Center - Child Care Program in CORPUS CHRISTI TX, with a maximum capacity of 80 children. This child care center helps with children in the age range of Infant, Toddler, Pre-Kindergarten, School. The provider also participates in a subsidized child care program.
My child was attending this daycare for a long time in the past. I have witnessed teachers on their phones instead of supervising the children at both locations. This goes for both locations. I have heard the way the director talks to other parents with no regard or respect for them or what is happening within the childs family unit. In the time I had my child there my chikd went through several different teachers, a few who I couldn't even communicate with due to a language barrier. When I expressed my concerns I was laughed at and told this is a bilingual academy, yet I should still be able to communicate with my childs teacher to see how their day went. The only reason I am expressing my encounter with this facility now is because I see that there are other children/families/parents STILL being treated the same way.
Wow I can’t believe the first two comments. That must be coming from the same parent because it seems to be copied and pasted! I don’t know the issue with this parent but my experience with the daycare is great!! We have been with them for more than 2 years. Of course there have been changes but there is always going to be changes in every business ! Either way the changes have been great. And my child loves the new school and their teacher. The directors are great and I have never felt bullied by them and the teachers have helped my child learn so much. I can’t thank them enough for being a second family to us and always making sure my child is safe. Thank you mi mundo for everything you have done. I wouldn’t choose any other daycare for my child.
After seeing the concerned parents review I thought I would share my experience with MBA/Mi Mundo. My children were there for 2+ years and I have never felt that the children were not safe or uncared for. They treat my family and I like family. They go beyond for the children. Sadly, My husband and I moved a couple of months after the Paul Jones location was opened but we still felt the same love and care the teachers and directors have for the children. Families we have sent are very happy and impressed by the program, teachers and facilities. I would return in a heartbeat and I will still recommend families to this wonderful school/daycare.
I would also not even give them a star. The director is an adult bully. She and other staff members talk down to the children. Since the new location opened, I pick my child up and find them watching TV while the "teacher" sits in the far corner of the room and doesn't even acknowledge me. They leave the children unattended often. There is no playground equipment for them and the location could be better. It's not very good to see drunk or high people sitting at the bus stop a block away and know that the front door is unsecured along with the entire property. They have no sign in/out procedures so I often wonder how they account for the children. They also like to change the rules as they go. I could go on ...but I will just say find a different child care center!
Honestly I wouldn’t even give them a star they used to be a really well ran a company but I soon as they open up a new location on Paul Jones they became corrupt and uncaring about what happened with the children. I’ve walked and many times on them talking down to the children, and of course the ones who act out they just placed on a tablet and so I just sit here. I really hope this place does go on there it’s very unfortunate that it’s become what it has. I would not recommend sending your children here half the time you don’t even know who with and their classroom because they take teachers out so much
