Noncompliance Area: On 2/18/2019 child #1 was left unattended and unsupervised in the hallway outside the child's YT classroom after the children were unloaded and returning from a outside buggy ride. Correction Required: Each staff person shall be assigned the responsibility for supervision of specific children. The staff person shall know the names and whereabouts of the children in his assigned group. The staff person shall be physically present with the children in his group on the facility premises and on facility excursions off the facility premises. |

Provider Response: (Contact the State Licensing Office for more information.) Each classroom has posted their primary care groups. Primary care group tags are color coded. Supervision checks are performed throughout the day and all children are now accounted for by their assigned teachers. All components of supervision standards are in place. This includes the use of supervision tags, monitoring of class numbers, care group numbers to names of children. In the future to avoid any lapses in supervision the facility staff were also required to take a supervision training, as a general refresher. At the staff meeting on 2/28/19 we reviewed all DSH childcare regulation regarding the supervision of children in the center. |
