I do not know what everyone is speaking of my son went to this summer camp this past summer and we had an amazing experience. At first the $250 registration for summer camp threw me for a loop however when I added how many field trips they went on and the cost of each field trip the two hundred and fifty dollars was spent in over a week. Every trip they said they were going on they went unless the weather was bad.My son had so much fun and was asleep early each night.

Ms. Jackie Jul 18, 2012

The Director, Ms. Wilemina, is unprofessional. When having a conversation with the woman it is extremely hard to even understand her. She speaks extremely fast. Every "conversation" is as if she she an auctioneer, "Going once, going twice..." On to the next.

She requires a $300 fee for summer camp to include "field trip" cost for the season. June - 1st week of August. Those kids have had more trips cancelled or not even scheduled trips than they have gone anywhere. Every morning I see the same 2-3 kids playing vidoe games off the tv. The other kids (6-8 more) are lying on the floor or watching the same 2-3 kids playing video games.

I was called to come get my child because she began crying and she was unable to communicate to her providers that the older kids were being mean to her. They can't assess a situation in which they are their to witness?

As I walked in, the older kids were doing the same thing..same 2-3 kids playing video games. It's summer time. Those kids should be able to get outside for more than 20 minutes a day!

I called the center to communicate my concerns, respectfully, I might add. I was told By Ms. Wileminia that the conversation was over and she is not going to do anything more. Point blank.

Now let me tell you, my daughter is 5 yrs old and I made the decission to go to their "Summer Camp" program vs the daycare group of 3-4 yr olds. My child is the youngest of the group I chose (5-12yr olds). I asked Ms. Wileminia if the older children were to stay in the center for the day, if my daughter could then play with the younger group. She said it would be too confusing. The confusion being my child would be in the next room actually playing vs. watching the big kids play video games? Tell me, if you know how many kids you have accounted for in a group, how difficult it would be to open a door and say "Come with me, child".

She bousts she has done this for over a decade. There is no doubt she loves children but her organization for that center is way under par. She is a more of a woman show for over 40 children. That is bad not only for her but for the children and all associated. She needs to delegate authority to her providers so that all can be accounted for more easily.

I don't know how she has done it for this long, but let me tell you...have a problem arise and you will be left with nothing but fast-talking excuses. Literally.

Sincerly,

Jacqueline Dermady
