I absolutely LOVE this center. My daughter has been here since she was 3 months old. She is now almost 2 and continues to grow with the center. Mrs. Vickie is very understanding and if you have an issue or see something that she might not like, then she will address it. She installed cameras to every room and entry to the building is by personal code only. My little one LOVES her teachers and at times is sad to leave. The center is clean and the toddler class does a great job doing crafts and learning exercises with the children. My daughter came home one day and knew all of her classmates names. I would recommend Itsie Bitsies to any and all mothers that I know. If at any time my daughter gets hurt, I am notified immediately with a picture and care plan that was used to help her. We recently moved an hour away but I still drop my daughter off daily (on my way to work) instead of choosing a place closer to home. They treat us all with respect and kindness. Highly recommended from my husband and I. He doesn't trust anyone with our daughter but he will allow Mrs. Vickie and her staff to keep CG at any time.
My 13 month old daughter has used this daycare off and on since she was 5 months old. It is a newer center who has spent the year working out process improvement opportunities to ensure a positive experience for all its families and staff members; however, the owner lives for the center's children and has grown exponentially not only as a business owner but as a leader as well. A major positive my husband I appreciate is that the staff is required to be certified or at least working on certification in childcare as opposed to hiring anyone w/open availability right off the street. Any time my daughter bumped her head or smashed a finger, I have been immediately notified by the teacher w/a picture. I have watched as the staff works with infants to help encourage growth - walking, talking, sign-language, arts and crafts, or even with something as tricky as independence. And while they have been understaffed at times due to illness or sudden turn-over, the staff has always been welcoming of feedback, as well as quick to respond to concerns and issues. I would encourage anyone looking for childcare to tour the center and interview the staff. They're a fun bunch who do a great job loving our kiddo and ALL of her classmates from sun up until sun down.
my son hated this place. although this daycare has great reviews on Facebook i would like to state my personal experience. after visiting about 15 daycare centers i chose this one due to its location (close to my job at the mall) the fact that it's christian based, and its cleanliness. the things i hated about this facility was that they do not have any camera's in the any of the rooms (Ms.Vickie says that if ANYTHING happens or any accidents they will take a picture of it and tell you how your child bumped their head etc), they're always understaffed, staff looks stressed and grouchy majority of the time i was dropping and picking up my son, they never greet or acknowledge you when you walk into the class and they choose favorites (they favor which ever child they like the most and ignore the rest). my sons experience: EVERY TIME i went to pick him up he was sitting on the floor by himself crying, while the teachers are playing with the other kids on the other side of the room and completely ignoring him. on one occasion one of the teachers in his room complained to me that he cries too much and wants to be carried all the time, (at this time he was having separation anxiety )and that unlike other kids his age (6-12months) in the room that are more independent and play by themselves. i was saddened by this comment, and as a new mom i started to feel defeated as if there was something seriously wrong with my child. another red flag: Ms.Vickie initially told me that drop ins were $15 for 3hrs and $25 for 4hrs and up but one day she got an attitude when i paid her $15 because my son was there for 3hrs.. she said exactly "you know its $25 right" this threw me off because we had been using the daycare for 2months now and i had to correct her with what she initially told me in the beginning. even though my son usually goes there for 4hrs but went for 3 that day. so be careful with random price changes. on many occasion i was for certain that the staff didn't like me and talked about me for bringing my crying baby to their facility and making their jobs "hard". at least that is the only reason i think they would have anything to say, because we never exchanged dialogue (apart from me being the first to say hi and bye during pick up/drop off). all in all i'm giving this place 2 stars for lack of professionalism, customer service and neglect. i quit my job to be full time stay at home mom after this awful experience and finally got a slot for my son to attend the daycare on post, and it has been an absolute blessing. i have never seen him so happy and excited to go to daycare and i'm very thankful i got him out of this learning center. if you are military i highly suggest doing your best to get the on post childcare and avoid places like this. also, you may not have the same experience i did so to each its own. i hope my review helped whom ever that was considering this place.
